Our Society is proud of you and appreciate the multiple ways you are working to improve our Chapter, the forestry sciences, and the society we live in. 2. New members (inducted in 2021)

During the 2021 initiation, our Chapter inducted 59 new members. This is an historical step for our Chapter and probably for Xi Sigma Pi as a whole! 3. Elections for 2021-2022 period

During the spring term, our members can apply to any of the four officer positions: Forester, Associate Forester, Ranger, and Treasurer. This year we received six applications, one for Forester, two for Associate Forester, two for Ranger, and one for Treasurer. Elections were held electronically during the last week of May 2021. A total of 37 votes were received and the results are as follows:

We would like to welcome Jacob Atkins, Amy Kronsberg, Leah Farr, and Allie Smoot to the Xi Sigma Pi Zeta Chapter leadership team! We are sure you will do an incredible work for our Chapter and our Society. We would like to thank David Cohn and Lyn Nitz-Mercaeant for their interest on running for an officer position. We are sure they will contribute to our Chapter and Society as active members.

4. Faculty Advisor Notes

Xi Sigma Pi Faculty Advisors, John Sessions and Bogdan Strimbu, thank Ray Van Court and Claudio Guevara for their service as Forester and Associate Forester during this last year and Brooke Harrington, Student Services, for her administrative support. We will be working with our incoming officers to have a Fall Business Meeting to plan our activities during the next academic year. 5. National Lead Chapter

Zeta Chapter becomes the Lead National Chapter for the next two years starting in June 2021. Jeff Hatten, Department Head, Forest Engineering, Resources, and Management Department, will be the National Liaison responsible for national leadership, chapter coordination, the national induction, and national contact for XSP supplies.
