It is Archived available to Acorn.tv members or for purchase on Amazon Prime. The show is taken from the M.C. Beaton books. She is a retired PR exec turned amateur sleuth of the bumble onto the solution type. We used to listen to the audio books on long drives. The TV series is much better. The stories are basically just a stage to watch some wonderfully acted, enjoyable, distinctive, and very eccentric characters. Alien TV Yes 0.5 2021 A cute little animated cartoon with three small alien (think Roswell) TV Disposable reporters examining three facets of Earth in each half hour episode, chattering all the while in their indecipherable language. It is not particularly funny but their clumsy attempts to figure out how earth works are a cute diversion. The aliens are animated over real footage which is interesting. Another Life No 1.0 2021 An "artifact" lands on earth and starts sending out signals. A ship is sent on a 6 Abandoned month FTL trip to visit the the supposed origin. Might be interesting if it concentrated on the science but it is basically a bus ride of doubting, untrusting crew members who argue with themselves and the mission commander even more. I watched about 1/2 hour. Netflix. Bakugan- Armored No 0.5 2021 I was unable to finish the pilot of this half hour animated series on Netflix. It was Abandoned Alliance aimed kids younger than I could go. I think I fell asleep on my first go. So I backed up and tried again to no avail. Beast Must Die No 1.0 2021 Abandoned during initial ad editing. Never Watched BNA (Brand New yes 0.5 2021 Japanese animated fantasy about friction between the beastmen in the beastmen Disposable Animal) only Anima city and the humans and a young woman who turned into a beastmen despite it not being possible. Watchable because the young protagonist Cafe, The No 0.5 2021 Ais suchlight fun.satirical workplace sitcom (very light) from the UK, available on Abandoned. Britbox. It takes place in a relaxed cafe on a pier, a bit too relaxed. I think it is supposed to be dry humor, but it was so dry that there was never any humor. I kept waiting for something to happen and gave up in episode 2. I liked the characters but that was all there was, no story to go with it. Call Me Kat No 0.5 2021 I was almost instantly bored and did not get far. Abandoned Call Your Mother unlikely 0.5 2021 A no laughs pilot for a sitcom about an empty nest mom who can't let go flying to LA to be with her semi-functional kids. I'll try one more. Chad No 0.5 2021 TBS teen angst sitcom rejected on Variety review. Never watched Connected No 1.0 2021 There was an incredible 1hr show by historian James Burke called Connections Abandoned which showed how an event in Past history lead to a modern product. This is very pale in comparison being many shorts about recent short range connected items. It is also mostly done with talking heads instead of field footage and reenactments. Very cheap, Youtube cheap. Country Comfort No 0.5 2021 A very routine sitcom on Netflix that started out strong but became very routine Abandoned very fast. I gave up after episode 4. Cursed No 1.0 2021 A Netflix drama about the life of Nimue, Merlin and Arthur. Rather ugly Abandoned featuring prejudice against witches and the Fey and the graphic grime of the period. Gave up in the middle of episode 1 after even 1.25x could not save it. Debris No 1.0 2021 Pre-apocalyptic SciFi or is that just the McGuffin and it's really a political Abandoned drama. I won't find out. Acting is good, but characters and story so far are not. Dota- Dragon's Blood No 0.5 2021 This half hour Japanese animated fantasy series never held my attention Abandoned for some reason. I tried 3 episodes, fell asleep in one, and got bored in the third, saving half for later and still not finishing it. After that I just abandoned the show. There does not seem to be anything wrong with it otherwise. A world of robots raises one human baby girl. It is the most intelligent new thing I have watched in a long time. It does end adequately so if no more episodes are made it could be treated as a serialized movie or mini-series with half hour episodes. It will be archived for future viewing. Equalizer No 1.0 2021 A "retired" CIA operative, anonymously helps a young woman in trouble Abandoned outfoxing rich people and the police. She decides to do it full time with the help of friends. Queen Latifa is very good and so was the pilot. I hope they can keep it up. We will see. Four episodes later, still watching and still disposable. Finale - Sadly, I guessed it would end this way months ago, and, as much as I like Queen Latifa, I am not interested. I will Not be watching season 2. Fate The Winx Saga No 1.0 2021 Everything about episode 1 was so ordinary. There was nothing original. It is Abandoned standard High School angst, bullying, cruelty, and prejudice combined with dark, nasty magic in a hidden magic school. Although it is Netflix, it fits right in with CW type programming. Serialized, 6 episodes, I skipped to 6 where the saga does end and an even worse saga starts. Not good! Girl From Nowhere No 1.0 2021 Korean drama dubbed to English for Netflix about a school girl who takes Abandoned revenge on miscreants with collateral damage along the way. It is much to dark for me, poorly filmed, and too slow although 1.25x helped. Definitely B budget. Ginny and Georgia No 1.0 2021 I couldn't finish episode one and skipped to episode two, which I finished. The Abandoned characters are interesting but the back and future stories are not. I doubt it can end well for them and don't want to find out. Girlfriends No 1.0 2021 Another Acorn original drama by Kay Mellor. I like the actors but the lead Abandonded characters fell apart at 11 min in. Godzilla Singular No 0.5 2021 Animated Japanese series - so dull I don't remember what it was about. Abandoned Point Good Omens Yes 1.0 2021 An amazing 6 part live action show from Amazon Prime with an outstanding Archived cast. It is a very odd, very well done, exotic, and just plain weird sort of fantasy. Hound of the No 0.5 2021 Four part miniseries staring Tom Baker. Abandoned Baskervilles (1982) Hummingbirds Yes 1.0 2021 An Attenborough narrated look at south America's Hummingbirds. Archived Intelligent Trees No 1.0 2021 Mostly talking heads documentary about trees. Abandoned Italy's Mystery OK 1.0 2021 On site news style explanation by scientists of the geology of Italy. Disposable Mountains Johnny Test No 0.5 2021 Juvenile animated series. Abandoned Jupiter's Legacy No 1.0 2021 Superhero fantasy series via Netflix. Frankly, I was bored very early on .I've Abandoned never been a big fan of the genre and this one seems to want to explore the angst of superheros young and old more than anything else. Jurassic World - Camp Yes 0.5 2021 Six tween(s) win a trip to a refurbished Jurassic Park and the usual takes place Disposable Cretaceous leaving them stranded alone to survive. From Netflix, the show is intelligent enough and has good character development that I have now watched two seasons. Season 3 will be out May 21. Might be worth repeating some day if it is still around. Kenan No 0.5 2021 The speechless opening scenes were great, but it fell apart when they opened Abandoned their mouths and the other characters arrived. L.A.'s Finest No 1.0 2021 A much too gritty and graphic cop / crime drama.. Abandoned Life in Color with Yes 1.0 2021 A very enjoyable 3 part examination of life with a lot of color on Netflix. It's Archived David Attenborough Attenborough, it's good. Love, Lies and No 1.0 2021 An Acorn original drama by Kay Mellor. It is actually an excuse for the Abandoned Duke author to rant about women's rights and poor treatment, judging the past by modern standards. Yeah, the time was shitty and we should remember. But that does not make it interesting and enjoyable especially when both protagonists are just not smart enough.

Cllr Alan Revell (Chairman) welcomed members of the public and representatives and formally opened the meeting. Public Forum 1. To receive Apologies for Absence. Apologies were accepted from – Cllr Burslem (away), Cllr Martin Lumb, Jenni Aird, Auriol and Michael Marson 2. Approval of the draft minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on 18th April 2018. The Chairman made a note that last year’s minutes had been available recently on the website and village noticeboards to read before approval. The minutes were taken as read and proposed by Cllr Galloway for approval by seconded by Cllr Buttle. A vote was taken where they were agreed, and they were duly signed by the Chairman as a true record of the meeting. 3. Matters Arising from the Annual Parish Meeting held on 18th April 2018. There were none. The Chairman thanked Cllr Roberts for organising tonight’s presentation. Cllr Roberts announced that a film called Town Settlement would be shown. Cllr Roberts who had source the film gave a brief introduction and explanation of the film before it was shown. Cllr Roberts also announced that there is a competition – if anyone can recognise 10 things in the film to let them know after the meeting. INTERVAL (15 Minutes) – Very enjoyable light refreshments were served – thank you to all those who assisted in organising these.

    Postcolonial Interventions, Vol. IV, Issue 1 Encounters with the Neighbour in 1970s’ British Multicultural Comedy Sarah Ilott “If you don’t shut up, I’ll come and move in next door to you!” Such was the frequent response to audience heckles made by Britain’s first well-known black come- dian, Charlie Williams (Leigh 2006). Williams’s response appropriated racist rhetoric of the time, in which the black neighbour was frequently mobilised as an object of fear, threatening the imagined homogeneity of for- merly white communities. Having frequently been on the receiving end of racist taunts such as “Get back to Af- rica” as a professional footballer for Doncaster Rovers in the 1940s and ’50s, Williams was able to claim some 14 Postcolonial Interventions, Vol. IV, Issue 1 of the power of the Teller of the joke through such put-downs, rather than solely occupying the position of the Butt of racist jokes and slurs. CHAIRMAN'S LETTER Last year's A.G.M. hosted the Beatrice de Cardi lecture and the speaker, Derek Riley, gave a lucid account of his Turning back through past issues of our journal I find a pioneering work in the field of aerial archaeology. CBA's recurrent editorial theme is the parlous financial state of President, Professor Rosemary Cramp, and Director, Henry CBA IX and the likelihood that SMA would have to cease Cleere also attended.
