Walmart Stores, Sam’s Clubs & Neighborhood Markets

Since 1987, Walmart has hired S. M. Wilson & Co. to build new Walmart stores, Sam’s Clubs and Neighborhood Markets across the country. S. M. Wilson has provided construction services for more than 60 stores in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Iowa, , Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado and Tennessee.

Sunrise Senior Living – Sunrise of Old Meridian

New Senior Care Facility

The new Sunrise of Old Meridian senior care facility consists of two connected buildings; a 90,000 SF independent living building and a 70,000 SF assisted living building. The four- story independent living building includes 60 residential care beds and the four-story assisted living building includes 70 residential care beds. The project also included an underground 75-car parking garage.

The new facility features an elegant community dining room, a 24-hour bistro, wrap-around porch and terrace, a sunroom, a beauty/barber shop and television and living room areas. In addition to these features, the independent living building includes a piano bar, exercise room and an arts and crafts area. Target

Target schedules store openings three times a year. S. M. Wilson has made the commitment to do whatever it takes to meet Target’s “Grand Opening” for each store, regardless of the construction start date or weather conditions. Since 1991, S. M. Wilson has completed nearly 10 million SF of retail space for Target in this manner. S. M. Wilson has provided construction services for more than 100 Target Stores in Missouri, , Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Ohio, Mississippi and Kansas.

JCPenney

JCPenney Department Stores

In January 2006, S. M. Wilson & Co. was chosen by JCPenney Corporation to provide construction management services for their new retail store in Dardenne Prairie, Missouri. This project was the first new construction store that was completed by S. M. Wilson. The new 99,119 SF store opened with JCPenney’s new off-mall format. The off-mall format features stand alone stores with wider aisles, new lighting designs and concentrated customer service centers. Since the completion of the Dardenne Prairie store, S. M. Wilson has provided construction services for nine new JCPenney stores in Missouri, Illinois, Texas, Arizona and Ohio and has worked on several store renovations in Missouri, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Kentucky, Indiana, , North Dakota, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Camp Atterbury Dining Facility

The new dining facility is located within the cantonment area of Camp Atterbury, on the eastern portion in the 200 block. Camp Atterbury is the training base of the Indiana National Guard.

The project, which was built in response to tornado damage incurred by the existing dining facility, consisted of a battalion size dining facility totaling 23,404 SF. Construction included electric service, exterior lighting, fire protection, alarm systems, paving, curbs, gutters, storm drainage, site improvements including landscaping and force protection.
