About CCICED and the Global Celebrations for World Environment Day 2019 China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) Established in 1992, China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) is a high level non-for-profit international advisory body under the approval of the Chinese government. With China’s rapid economic and social development, CCICED has been a witness to and a part in the significant change of the country’s philosophy and mode for development, and has played a unique and important role in China's sustainable development. CCICED opens a door to usher the worldwide concepts of sustainable development into China, builds a bridge to promote exchanges and mutual understanding between China and the international community in the field of environment and development, creates a platform on which dialogues between China and other countries enables the world to have a better understanding of China and China to embrace the world. Global Celebrations for World Environment Day 2019 World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated on the 5th of June every year. The theme of each WED celebrations is determined by UN Environment Programme (UNEP) with respect to some global concerns and the most-debated issues on the environment of the year, and one UNEP member country is to be selected as the host to the said celebrations. 2. Transportation 6.1 Access to the Conference Venue We provide green energy buses commuting between the hotel and Hangzhou International Expo Center at the call of an eco-friendly principle. Please consult with your hotel staff for the time table. Guests in North Star may go from 7F (the sky garden) to access Hangzhou International Expo Center on foot 6.2 Shuttle Service Please find Annex I for information on shuttle service for the airport and railway station picking up service. For the departure, shuttle services will be available from June 3 to June 6. Please inform the Registration of your departing flight (train) details at least one day before your departure. 6.3 Public Transportation 1.
