Alisa Burdett, Principal of Maldon Primary School, told the Tarrangower Times that the school is using a mixture of online learning tools such as Webex and Google Classroom, along with physical paper packs, to assist with home schooling. “It’s been fairly smooth this time,” she said. “We just need to be creative and think in different ways. We are aware that parents and carers may also be trying to work from home so we are trying to be as flexible as possible.” Kathy Callander, Principal of Newstead Primary School told the TT that the school had prepared for a lockdown to the best of their ability. She by Nancy Whittaker learned how to paint using tone and a piece of string called a plumb line, which June, 2021 trains the eye to ensure accu- racy in shape, height and placement of the still life objects. Currently Catherine is working on a big commis- sion for clients in Hamburg, organised by Andreas Maske, a German entre- preneur. The work is in its preliminary stages. It is Art Deco in style with cubist inspired buildings in the background. It is very large, 90cm high by 200cm wide. Catherine’s preferred medium is oil on oil-primed linen from Italy.
