Some small farms are adapting by selling fresh produce and perishable foods in their local communities by offering no-touch deliveries and drive through pick-ups. Some local farmers are even partnering with each other to offer regular boxed deliveries that contain a variety of goods including, meats, eggs, produce, dairy products, and even baked goods all sourced from local farms and businesses. [7] 3- Restaurants should adapt to grocery sales, sales of bulk ready-made meals and should adapt to radically different pricing structures. Mid to high end restaurants should adapt to lower price bulk food. Margins will be significantly lower but if done right sales volume could increase. Unfortunately the jobs and financial crisis will likely increase demand for food among the needy for a year or more. 2- Support the same local restaurants they normally would by ordering takeout when possible. Many communities are compiling lists of local businesses that are still open for takeout. These businesses have been some of the most effected by the shift in demand and by ordering takeout consumers can help provide some income to the restaurants, while also encouraging food resources to flow through the existing commercial supply chains. 3- Buy local, and when possible, directly from farmers, fishers etc. who are no longer able to sell to restaurant and local and regional farmers markets. Check to see if your local community has Facebook pages and/or groups which are helping to spread the word about what local food products are available from local farms and fishermen in your area. Because of how quickly local producers have had to adapt, many do not yet have online ordering systems and up to date websites, but many have set up social media pages where they are able to easily reach a large local audience, post daily what they have available, and even coordinate orders.[8] …

It’s a very interesting model. Look at the person leading this health policy, Dr. Fauci. His background is from the pharmaceutical world … [and] when you look at the NIH and the CDC, these organizations are heavily, heavily influenced by pharmaceutical companies. In that environment, the model has always been never to discuss immune health, what we can do to support the immune system. It’s always under the assumption that there’s this big boogeyman, that the virus harms your body. Most medical doctors, again, they’re victims of this education. Many of them are taught the virus literally comes and attacks your body, and that a vaccine or a pharmaceutical intervention blocks it. It’s not taught broadly that [the problem is that] the dysfunctional, weakened immune system is not running on all cylinders. One part of it can overreact, and that overreaction is what goes in and attacks your own tissues. Why is death from lifestyle-induced disease and environmental toxicity more preferable and acceptable than death from an infectious disease? Dying from a preventable medical mistake is also a greater risk, as that kills up to 440,000 Americans every year. Where’s the panic about that? Isn’t the idea that conventional medicine kills 440,000 people a year terrifying?! 1 in 5 elderly patients are also injured by medical care. Where are the calls to protect our aging loved ones from this threat? Were health policies more aligned with truth, we wouldn’t have these chronic disease epidemics and far fewer people would die from preventable medical mistakes. More people would lead healthy lives were they properly informed about what’s harmful and what’s healthy. Similarly, when it comes to COVID-19, there are simple strategies with which we can address this infection that does not require collapsing the global economy, creating unheard of unemployment and isolating everyone from human contact for weeks on end. So, what’s really going on here? “We have not said, ‘Hey, let’s shut down the economy to address the fact that we have skyrocketing obesity taking place, skyrocketing diabetes,” Ayyadurai says. “So, the level of contradiction, the level of hypocrisy should wake up everyone to understand that there is another agenda. There is another agenda afoot. I repeat what my mentor said: ‘When things don’t add up, take a step back and ask, what is the other agenda?’ And the only thing in a common-sense way that reveals itself to me is power, profit and control. Power, profit and control.” … The Power, Profit and Control Agenda Like Ayyadurai, I believe the fearmongering is being used to suppress dissent, to crash the economy and to issue medical mandates. “If you look broadly, there were massive uprisings, antiestablishment uprisings [in different countries]. Instead, they’re directed to Big Pharma-backed sites promoting conventional medicine. … “It has essentially moved to a model of a finite set of people serving the interests of another finite set of people,” Ayyadurai says. “That’s what’s fundamentally going on. When we really look back at the history of ‘infectious diseases,’ what actually caused the real decline in infectious disease? … That came from sanitation, vitamin A, nutrition, elimination of child labor, refrigeration [and] infrastructure at the political level … Well, how did we get that? This is one layer people need to understand from a human standpoint. It came about because in the late 1800s, there was a massive force of the American working class who were militant, and they fought for those rights. People lived in squalor. No one cared for them. It was the uprising of those people and very, very powerful independently self-organizing systems, all over this country, that forced the elites to give them these basic infrastructures … So, what I see is the ability for people to organize and demand their rights and get them. That is what occurred in the late 1900s, and we got massive gains. Now look at infrastructure today. Dirty water, dirty air, dirty food … and we look at them in synergy, how they affect our body. None of that’s discussed, none of that. … And that’s why when you look at this [COVID-19] phenomenon that’s taking place, it’s a penultimate of it … You create massive amounts of fear so people will be willing — because they’re under economic stress, under what they think is a health [threat] — to give up their rights. Truth, freedom and health are all under attack … They do not want any discussion about indigenous people’s medicines that have worked for centuries. They don’t want to talk about simple solutions … so, they suppress discourse, suppress debate, suppress freedom, and move everything away from the scientific method — which is a process where you actually have to prove stuff, which is what they claim they want to do to scientific consensus. Freedom gets suppressed and now you can move truth to scientific consensus. So, you go from suppression of freedom to fake science or outdated science at best. And then that is used to create a fake problem and a fake solution. And then, if you go to the health part, what that means is you diminish people’s health, you control people’s health, and now you have a populace which is so controlled, they don’t have the strength to fight for their freedom. So, you have the attack on freedom, the attack on truth, and the attack on health. All of those are interconnected. They too are a system from a systems perspective. Without freedom, you can’t have truth. Without truth, you can’t have health. And without health we don’t have the strength to fight for our freedom. And the way that truth actually is discovered should be through the scientific method. In this article, I explore one of those directions. The occasion is this fake pandemic; the big hammer is the vaccine against the phony COVID. As Fauci mentioned a couple of months ago, it could be a DNA vaccine—new technology—which means it is really gene therapy. Synthesized genes are injected into the body. They purportedly set up immunity. Actually, they PERMANENTLY alter the genetic makeup of the recipient. As you can imagine, this creates the opportunity to put many different genes into humans. To try to invent “new humans.” The so-called immunity certificates Fauci is now talking about? They would be issued to people who test positive on the new antibody tests for COVID-19—which is an interesting turnaround, because, since 1984, positive tests results have generally been taken to mean “infected.” Why the shift? Because there is a need for these immunity certificates—as an INTRO to condition the population to an IDEA. If and when the COVID vaccine arrives, the certificates would be used to signify immunity for all those who take the shot. It would function as a license. Your passport into the Brave New World. You’re “immune,” so you’re allowed to move out of fear mode. And circulate and travel and enter schools… For DNA vaccines, the reference is the New York Times, 3/15/15, “Protection Without a Vaccine.” It describes the frontier of research. Here are key quotes that illustrate the use of synthetic genes to “protect against disease,” while changing the genetic makeup of humans. This is not science fiction: “By delivering synthetic genes into the muscles of the [experimental] monkeys, the scientists are essentially re-engineering the animals to resist disease.” “’The sky’s the limit,’ said Michael Farzan, an immunologist at Scripps and lead author of the new study.” “The first human trial based on this strategy — called immunoprophylaxis by gene transfer, or I.G.T. — is underway, and several new ones are planned.” [That was five years ago.] “I.G.T. is altogether different from traditional vaccination. It is instead a form of gene therapy. Scientists isolate the genes that produce powerful antibodies against certain diseases and then synthesize artificial versions. The genes are placed into viruses and injected into human tissue, usually muscle.” Here is the punchline: “The viruses invade human cells with their DNA payloads, and the synthetic gene is incorporated into the recipient’s own DNA. If all goes well, the new genes instruct the cells to begin manufacturing powerful antibodies.” Read that again: “the synthetic gene is incorporated into the recipient’s own DNA.” Alteration of the human genetic makeup. Not just a “visit.” Permanent residence. The Times article taps Dr. David Baltimore for an opinion: “Still, Dr. Baltimore says that he envisions that some people might be leery of a vaccination strategy that means altering their own DNA, even if it prevents a potentially fatal disease.” Yes, some people might be leery. If they have two or three working brain cells. This is genetic roulette with a loaded gun. And the further implications are clear. Vaccines can be used as a cover for the injections of any and all genes, whose actual purpose is unannounced. The vaccine masters have a problem. They know their genetic technology is far from perfect. Plans to re-engineer the human race are not a simple one two three. For example, consider the latest and greatest genetic tool, called CRISPR. New CRISPR gene-editing: the extreme dangers Technologynetworks.com (6/26/17): “CRISPR gene editing is taking biomedical research by storm. Providing the ultimate toolbox for genetic manipulation, many new applications for this technology are now being investigated and established. CRISPR systems are already delivering superior genetic models for fundamental disease research, drug screening and therapy development, rapid diagnostics, in vivo editing and correction of heritable conditions and now the first human CRISPR clinical trials.” All hail. It’s called CRISPR, a much faster, more precise, and cheaper technique for editing genes. Researchers are in love with it. You can find hundreds of articles and studies fawning over the innovation. At phys.org, however, we have this, ahem, warning note (5/29/17): “…a new study published in Nature Methods has found that the gene-editing technology can introduce hundreds of unintended mutations into the genome.” Oops. “In the new study, the researchers sequenced the entire genome of mice that had undergone CRISPR gene editing in the team’s previous study and looked for all mutations, including those that only altered a single nucleotide.” “The researchers determined that CRISPR had successfully corrected a gene that causes blindness, but Kellie Schaefer, a PhD student in the lab of Vinit Mahajan, MD, PhD, associate professor of ophthalmology at Stanford University, and co-author of the study, found that the genomes of two independent gene therapy recipients [mice] HAD SUSTAINED MORE THAN 1500 SINGLE-NUCLEOTIDE MUTATIONS AND MORE THAN 100 LARGER [GENE] DELETIONS AND INSERTIONS. None of these DNA mutations were predicted by computer algorithms that are widely used by researchers to look for off-target effects.” (Emphasis is mine.) “’Researchers who aren’t using whole genome sequencing to find off-target effects may be missing potentially important mutations,’ Dr. Tsang says. ‘Even a single nucleotide change can have a huge impact’.” Genetic roulette is alive and well. Spin the wheel, see what numbers come up. Good effects, bad effects, who knows? Step right up and take your chances. Of course, researchers who admit these tremendous problems remain optimistic. They look forward to “refining the method.” That’s a cover for: “we really don’t know what we’re doing right now.” Unfortunately, much science operates in this fashion. Launch a new technology, and turn a blind eye to the consequences. For example, place mercury, a devastating neurotoxin, in vaccines. What harm could result—aside from the destruction of children’s brains. Here is more gushing PR, otherwise known as throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks: “There are weekly press releases and updates on new advances [in CRISPR] and discoveries made possible with this technology; the first evidence is now emerging that CRISPR-Cas9 could provide cures for major diseases including cancers and devastating human viruses such as HIV-1.” (technologynetworks.com) The train has left the station. And just in case you think only the most careful and competent leading lights of the genetic research community would be permitted to get within a mile of CRISPR, here is more from technologynetworks.com: “CRISPR-Cas9 systems, tools and basic methodology are very accessible as ready to go toolkits that anyone with lab space and an idea can pick up and start working with…In response to a growing need, companies such as Desktop Genetics have developed open access software to accelerate CRISPR experimentation and analysis.” That’s good to know. “Anyone with lab space and an idea” can jump on board and have at it. Do your own cross breeding of the pregnant phrases, “What could possibly go wrong,” and “Nothing to see here, move along,” and you’ve summarized the situation. “They say they cured my anemia, but now I turn green and purple and I keep falling down.” If all this isn’t enough to make you see the dangers of CRISPR, consider this statement about engineering human immune cells (T-cells) in a “safer” way. “The experiment would alter the immune system’s T cells only after they’re removed from a patient. That gives scientists the chance to screen the CRISPR’d cells to make sure only the three intended genes, all involved in making T cells find and destroy tumor cells, are altered. But after those T cells are infused back into a patient to fight melanoma, sarcoma, or myeloma, the CRISPR system can keep editing DNA, and tracking such edits becomes like following a polar bear in a snowstorm.” Not very comforting. Once set in motion, even under the most protected and limited conditions, CRISPR can keep on working, scrambling genes in unknown ways. So…when it comes to DNA vaccines, aka gene therapy, a plan to precisely re-engineer humans could quite easily descend into uncontrolled chaos. And the controllers and elite funders of the vaccine know that. What to do? With the global population as their guinea pigs, perhaps they would start small. Introduce the slightest possible gene-alteration, stand back and see what happens. Try out a gene that would ordinarily—hopefully—achieve next to nothing. Try to measure the results. Viewed from one angle, the whole fake epidemic is a set-up for the vaccine, and for mandatory vaccines. So, again, the tetanus vaccination campaign, which is a well-coordinated, forceful, population control, mass-sterilization exercise; birth control vaccines promoted by this Task Force on Birth Control by the World Health Organization. A vaccine, whose purpose is to achieve non-pregnancy, where ordinarily it could occur. So, there's a Task Force on Birth Control Vaccines at World Health Organization, Daniel and so, there are several papers from prestigious journals which focused on a hormone called Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG)... There's a heading in the Facet Paper, called "Ability of Antibodies to Neutralize the Biological Activities of hCG", and the authors are trying to discover whether a state of non-fertility can be achieved by blocking the normal activity of this hCG. The Kissinger "Memorandum 200," which talked about sterilization, rather than food aid...the true concern was the maintenance of US access to Third World resources - that's what Kissinger and Rockefellers they were all concerned about - they worried that the political consequences of population growth in the Third World could produce internal instability. So, with famine and food riots and the breakdown of social order in such countries the Kissinger memo warns that the smooth flow of needed materials will be jeopardized. In other words, too many people equals disruption for the transnational corporations who steal nations from the very people. So, does this remind you of what is happening, for example, right now in the Western world; Europe, United States, Canada? Of course it does...This is the same thing in West Africa, with the Ebola crisis - or the alleged Ebola crisis. Okay, now again if you kind of go back to some of the World Health Organization-sponsored programs, such as sterilization programs, there were unconfirmed reports, both from the Philippines and Mexico that in the 1990s...the tetanus vaccination programs, which were supposedly administered only to women of childbearing age involved multiple injections. Now, the tetanus vaccine protocols indicate that one injection is good for ten years so, when you have these multiple injections, it would indicate another motive for the vaccination, such as the anti-fertility effect, for example...that gives you an idea that the World Health Organization is not about protecting human life on planet Earth. It has a different, very dark agenda and Trump cutting off funding is a first step in actually getting these people out of business. DANIEL BRIGMAN: Let me ask a follow-up question: if Bill Gates and the WHO, is touting this potential new vaccine coming, [saying] the "new normal won't exist until we have a vaccine!" - listening to you, I should never take that vaccine that they're gonna push. DANIEL ESTULIN: You should probably never take that vaccine, because it's again, one of the things about coronavirus is the forced vaccination programs. It's the Big Data, new electronic passports. It's a systemic collapse, meaning it's not a sector of the economy but the entire global, financial, political edifice is in a state of collapse. The global debt - if you keep in mind everything that's old - is about $4 quadrillion. That's four and 15 zeros. So, the best way to write off that amount of money is what's called force majeure. So, you have some kind of a naturally-occurring event, being, I don't know, a meteorite hitting the planet Earth, you know, gigantic earthquake which wipes out half of humanity, thermonuclear war, Godzilla coming out at the bottom of the sea, you know making its presence felt - or some kind of a coronavirus. So they tried thermonuclear war, because large wars - not some piddly little regional war in the Middle East - a global thermonuclear war would kill four or five billion people - which is fine, as far as the elite is concerned, okay and it allows you, gives you the excuse to write off four quadrillion dollars. You just write it off and nobody owes anybody anything... They tried that. They killed Soleimani on the 3rd of January. Who is "they"? The Global Deep State. Doesn't matter the names - it's irrelevant. We're looking at things conceptually, right now. But because we didn't have the thermonuclear war - why? Because nobody wanted to deal with the consequences. You have the Russians and the Americans, the Chinese, the Iranians, the Turks - everybody's there. But nobody wanted thermonuclear war, because they understood the consequences of that. It's a dirty war, which will have long-lasting effects on planet Earth for us and obviously, for them. And so, they had this Plan B. And Plan B, again - Godzilla - they couldn't find him, okay? They sent him an email, he didn't reply. Meteorite, you know, just wasn't there. They couldn't count on it, either. So, then, there's this coronavirus thing. Now, a little story, which I made up, 99% of it is true. You have a group of people, very powerful people. Doesn't matter what their names are - above government and presidents and prime minister-level. They understand that the global collapse is upon us. It's a systemic collapse of the entire system. What we're seeing right now, we've only seen twice in the history of mankind, between the 4th and 6th centuries, when the old Roman order collapsed and feudalism came about and then in the 16th century, when feudalism died and capitalism came about - this is the end of a system. So, they said, "If this goes through, humanity will blame us, because we're responsible. That's no good. So, they create this vaccine and they go to the General Director of the World Health Organization. It doesn't matter what his name is - it could be this guy, could be any guy - and they explain to him the financial situation and they say, "Look, we need to have a force majeure to write off this $4 quadrillion debt and now the global governments - America, Canada, Europe, etc., etc. etc. need to save us from what we've done. "So, what we need to do, we have this virus and we're gonna launch this, we're gonna call it a 'pandemic' but we have the antidote already. Bill Gates already made it and don't worry, everything is fine, nobody's gonna really die. All we need to do is for you, the World Health Organization, as the world health authority - because, people are dumb and they'll believe anything you say - to call this a pandemic." So, the guy says, "You guys are insane. Do you understand what you're saying?" So they sweeten the pot. They say, "Look, we're gonna give your World Health Organization $300 billion." It doesn't matter. It could be five, it could be a trillion. There's a piece of colored paper you print. It's irrelevant. If he says yes, great. If he says no, then they go to the next step. And the next step is they say, "Look, okay, we're gonna give $300 billion to the World Health Organization and we're gonna give you, personally $100 million dollars, which we'll deposit in any bank account you want."

If he says, "OK, let's do it. We'll call it a pandemic." Wonderful. If he says no, then they sweeten the pot further. They say, "Look, we're gonna give you a Nobel Peace Prize. "Look, we're gonna kill you, as we have killed so many other Presidents of the United States and other countries. "I mean, we were behind 9/11. I mean, he could die and not get anything out of it - or he could go along, get his Nobel Peace Prize, $100 million dollars, live as a good Samaritan for the rest of his life and be considered the savior of humanity. So, he goes along. So, now we have the World Health Organization in the bag, officially willing to call this a pandemic. But now, you need the presence of countries to come along. How do you do that? Because, again, this isn't a little conspiracy of four old geezers sitting in a dark room holding hands, staring at a crystal ball, pressing some buttons, calling for world domination. It's a much easier process, because the entire edifice of world media corporations and mainstream media is controlled and owned by the military-industrial complex, meaning billionaires and trillionaires who control the world from behind the scenes. Through media, you can put in some amount of pressure on all the presidents and governments and countries. You can make presidents fall and replace them with someone else. You don't really need to kill them, you just tell the country, this man is a menace to their country. As a result of his neglect, so many hundreds of thousands people will die; as a result of this false pandemic, so most presidents go along. Those who don't, I promise that they will not win the following election so those who do, and pronounce the magic word, "pandemic", they'll be given incredible amounts of money by the United Nations by the Rockefeller Foundation, by the Hudson Institute, by the Bilderbergers, by - just name any one of these global organizations, liberal banking financier groups, it doesn't matter and this how this pandemic works. It's very, very easy. So again, the point is you have a global systemic collapse. You need somehow, to find a way out of this. They tried nuclear war, that didn't work. So, 90% of people won't have anything to do and so, by trying to kill five, six billion people, it solves one of the key problems for the global elite. When it then rejoined in 1955, it argued for a reduction in its back dues, which was approved. As a result of nonpayment of assessed contributions, we have seen several instances where the WHO has been on the verge of bankruptcy. Fortunately, governments have usually acted responsibly and eventually paid back their fees. Has there been political criticism of the WHO before? Yes. In 2009, the WHO was accused of acting too early in declaring swine flu a pandemic, in part over concerns it had been pressured by pharmaceutical companies. Of course, Trump’s comments also ignore the fact the WHO did eventually send a team of experts to conduct an assessment in mid-February after finally obtaining Chinese approval. The results from this investigation provided important information about the virus and China’s efforts to halt its spread. Does China have increasing influence over the WHO? Understandably China has grown in power and economic influence since 2003, when then-Director General Gro Harlem Brundtland publicly criticised it for trying to hide the spread of the SARS virus. China has also been criticised for blocking Taiwan’s bid to join the organisation. Taiwan has had one of the most robust responses to the COVID-19 crisis. But China is ultimately just one of the WHO’s 194 member states. And one of the great ironies of Trump’s criticism is that the organisation has been criticised by other member states for decades for being influenced too heavily by the United States. What happens if the US cuts funding? If enacted, these funding cuts may cause the WHO to go bankrupt in the middle of a pandemic. That might mean the WHO has to fire staff, even as they are trying to help low- and middle-income countries save lives. [Ed. Hooray! Maybe they will stop sterilising millions of women!] It will also mean the WHO is less able to coordinate international efforts around issues like vaccine research, procurement of personal protective equipment for health workers and providing technical assistance and experts to help countries fight the pandemic. In a study by Krumholtz on elderly people who were hospitalised for congestive heart failure, it was found that those who had no one to rely on for emotional support were three times more likely to have another episode requiring a return to hospital than the patients who had warm relationships.[i] This speaks to the powerful psychosomatic component of health — part of the puzzle conspicuously absent from mainstream discourse, which — you may have noticed — focuses the covid-19 narrative entirely on the idea of vengeful microbes floating around waiting for an unsuspecting human host. … There’s more. In 2003, Dr Sheldon Cohen, a psychologist at Carnegie Mellon published the results of his intentional attempts at trying to give common colds to people, in a study featuring over 300 volunteers.[ii] He wanted to test whether sociability predicted resistance to infectious conditions. Under tightly controlled conditions he systematically exposed volunteers to a rhinovirus believed to cause the common cold. Despite his best efforts, fully two thirds of the exposed volunteers were utterly unaffected. What Cohen and his colleagues found was that “sociability was associated with greater resistance to developing colds.” All things being equal, simple exposure was clearly not the be all and end all. Cohen et al. also had something to say about cortisol: “Sociability was associated with lower concentrations of…cortisol and the SNS hormone epinephrine.” It is generally recognised nowadays that chronically elevated levels of cortisol have an immune- damping effect.

Monetary tensions in a household are part of the texture of urban life and the stuff of legend. It’s axiomatic that finances are a common source of conflict in the home. Consider the amplification of general household stress a Depression-level event like this global shutdown brings. Like a lottery win — or a PCR test — the coronavirus lockdown situation is an amplifier of what is already present. How does this bode for the health and immunity of people in tough — or even abusive — relationships? What Cohen found in his work was that participants who had an ongoing personal conflict were 2.5 times as likely as the other volunteers to develop a cold, which put rough relationships in the same causal category as vitamin C deficiency and sleep deprivation! [iii] But the hits keep coming. In earlier phases of these studies, Cohen found that, of 276 volunteers exposed to rhinovirus: The people with the weakest social support levels were 4.2 times more susceptible than those with robust sociability. Although smoking, poor sleep quality, low vitamin C, elevated catecholamine levels, and even introversion were all associated with greater susceptibility to colds, they were not as important as the social support and connection felt by participants.[iv] This means loneliness was even riskier than smoking in terms of developing a cold/upper respiratory illness. Cohen and his team concluded, “More diverse social networks were associated with greater resistance to upper respiratory illness.” Consider this information in light of the “COVID situation” where we are being trained to view each other with fear and suspicion — and “self-quarantine” at home. What effect does that have on people living alone? Or a single parent with an energetic child? An elderly widow/er? …

In total, it will launch over 4,000 to low-Earth orbit where the mega-constellation will provide high- speed, low-latency internet to just about any location on Earth. The FCC has given the green light for SpaceX to launch up to 12,000 satellites and paperwork has been filed with an international regulator that could open the door for over 40,000 satellites in total. Almost immediately after the first batch of 60 Starlink space routers launched last year, many were surprised by how reflective the satellites were, moving across the twilight sky in long, single-file trains, increasing UFO sightings and mucking up a lot of astronomical observations. “We’ll take corrective action if it’s above zero (impacts),” Musk said. “We’re running a bunch of experiments.” The idea is to have the satellites allegedly serve an entirely humanitarian and civilian purpose – provide high-speed internet. However, that appears to be entirely contrary to the truth. In February 2020, the US Air Force and SpaceX announced that they would collaborate for a live fire exercise on April 8th. “SpaceX has been a great industry partner for us,” Roper said. “They are very excited and we are excited to learn more about their satellites through the demonstration.” The demonstration will reportedly involve shooting down a drone and a cruise missile and will take place at several different sites including Marine Corps Air Station Yuma in Arizona to Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. The massive tests will also include ground forces, submarines, ships, and a variety of space-based assets. The live fire exercise will be part of a larger test of the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS), a new communications ecosystem designed to enable Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2), allowing U.S. forces and allies to coordinate military operations in real-time across all domains, such as sea, land, air, space and cyber operations. Roper said that his “hope for this event, unlike the first event, is that we have an equal measure of things that fail for things that succeeded.” Roper has also said that the new ABMS system will help replace the aging, rickety fleet of E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) command aircraft. It will also add new capabilities that leverage the latest in machine learning, or artificial intelligence, to better predict what types of information users want from the system and more prominently push that information to them. “We’ve come so far in ABMS that we realize that it’s bigger than just replacing the capability that JSTARS provides,” Roper said. “If you get ABMS right, you’ve just built the military’s ‘internet of things.’ That’s super exciting.” Additionally, SpaceX will help the US military in Arctic communications. The U.S. Air Force conducted initial tests, outside the Arctic, using commercial satellites. For military communications, the use of millimetre-wave technologies has been driven by satellite communications. Conventional frequencies used for military satellite communications have traditionally been segmented along UHF, L-band and C-band with X-band frequencies and Ku- band representing the highest frequencies of operation for military satellite communications. In 2014-2015, Strategy Analytics estimated that these traditional frequency bands accounted for 77% of military satellite terminal communications across the land, air and sea domains. As use across these frequencies has increased over the past 20 years, the available spectrum has shrunk and the resulting cost of military satellite communications has increased in line with increasing capacity constraints. As a result, defense departments have increasingly relied on leasing or sharing commercial spectrum to keep up with the demand for connectivity. The demand for spectrum continued to increase especially in asymmetric theatres where intelligence enable through ISR missions enabled using UAS platforms also rose, driving additional demand for BLOS datalinks. Consequently, military satellite communications have had to use expensive high functionality solutions over X-band as well as Ku-band. Millimeter-wave frequencies at Ka-band started to underpin usage providing another avenue to meet the demand for military satellite connectivity, bringing a number of benefits including: Higher upload and download data rates Better spectral efficiencies Less congestion in the spectrum band Lower bandwidth costs for the user This focus on millimetre-wave frequencies will increase over the next ten years with Ka-band forecast to account for almost 30% of the military satellite communications by 2024. However, the move to Ka-band will not translate into a move away from existing infrastructure so future military satellite terminals will increasingly focus on being able to support multiple bands, usually by having interchangeable BUCs [block-up convertor] and LNBs [low noise block] [both of these devices BUC and LNB are used in VSAT transmission systems for relaying voice/data via satellite to larger portion of the earth] to allow the user to take advantage of the respective satellite signal frequency available at a given location. This will translate into multi-band terminals that house multiple RF chains designed to handle the respective signals. At the same time, the emphasis on enabling the warfighter to have COTM [communications-on-the-move] capabilities will maintain pressures to have systems that support portability in terms of both size and power consumption. This has already translated into moves by companies such as Advantech Wireless towards GaAs- based solutions, and this is now being supplemented by trends towards GaN-based SSPB/BUC [https://www.rfwireless-world.com/Terminology/Difference-between-GaN-and-GaAs-Power- Amplifiers.html] products that enable higher power, wider bandwidth and higher frequency performance while also allowing terminal sizes to shrink. Moving forwards, it is conceivable that the capabilities of GaN-based RF will enable wideband solutions to cover a range of frequencies without compromising on performance and thus enable satellite communication terminals to shrink even further. Of course, as millimetre-wave frequency use at Ka-band becomes more prolific (especially as the commercial market also looks to take advantage), congestion in this spectrum will also increase. The need for wideband performance across the spectrum including millimetre-wave frequencies is a core requirement for electronic warfare. US senators recently introduced the Electronic Warfare Enhancement Act [**see note at end] to refocus US EW efforts, finally recognizing the fact that the ability to control and make effective use of spectrum is essential to enable operations in a spectrum environment that is increasingly congested and contested. Traditionally, the role of the EW system has been segmented with the Electronic Attack (EA) or Electronic Warfare Support (EWS) system designed to monitor, protect and mitigate specific RF operations, e.g. communications or radar. With communications jamming and COMINT/DF requirements typically not extending beyond S-band, while radar jammers could be required to go as high as Ka-band if designed to disable missile threats that featured radar seekers. Trends driving spending on the Electronic Warfare (EW) sector will be underpinned by the need to control an ever increasing complex spectrum environment, countering modern frequency agile radar systems and network-based IP-centric communications in conventional symmetric warfare scenarios, as well as combatting asymmetric threats from improvised explosive devices. In both cases, the frequencies that need to be combatted are expanding and in the case of radar systems, the frequency agility will negate the traditional use of threat libraries, so future systems will need to employ flexible wideband materials that can enable cognitive analysis of the threat environment to effectively control the electromagnetic spectrum. RF-based Electronic Attack (EA) system design for applications such as radar, communications and RCIED (radio controlled improvised explosive device) jamming see an increasing emphasis towards systems that can support multi-band and/or wideband operation to combat the increasingly complex spectrum environment. While the need for high power RF transmitters for applications such as long-range jamming will mean vacuum tube-based solutions will continue to dominate, programs such as the US-based Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) and Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP) will point to a future direction of architectural design that will be underpinned by AESAs and leverage the advantages of wideband materials such as GaN and digital RF memory (DRFM) capabilities. For RF-based EWS systems such as RWRs (Radar Warning Receivers), DF/COMINT (Direction Finding and Communications Intelligence) and ESM/ELINT (Electronic Support Measures and Electronic Signals Intelligence) this will be underpinned by an emphasis on direct and fast digital synthesis of the RF signals across the full breadth of the frequency spectrum, effectively digitizing the RF as close to the antenna signal as possible. This will drive demand for wideband solid state RF component technologies that can be coupled with higher performing wider bandwidth digital receivers. Most SAMs (surface to air missiles) and long range SSMs (surface to surface missiles including both ballistic and cruise missile including anti-ship missiles) use radar as the primary means of guidance; collectively radar-based SWs represent the second largest segment of the SW market. Radar guidance can be either Active or semi-active. In active radar guidance the missile contains a radar transceiver whereas in semi-active radar guidance the missile uses only a receiver to find and track the target. Semi-active radar guidance enables “fire and forget” capability as the missile works autonomously during the terminal phase. Using an active radar transmitter as the target seeker means the launch platform does not need to guide the missile anymore and is free to conduct other maneuvers. A Target Seeker (TS) subsystem, also sometimes known as a Terminal Seeker, is normally found in medium to long range missiles, and used in combination with the NGS, for better identification and striking of the target using Active Radar (MMW), Laser, IR/IIR (Infrared/Inverse Infrared) and Acoustic/magnetic seeker technologies. Radar-based target seeker subsystems account for almost 50 percent of the target seeker subsystem market for smart weapons. Moving forwards, directed energy weapons (DEW) will fundamentally change how future battles are fought while also providing significant savings on expensive conventional munitions, particularly in the air and missile defence (AMD) role. There are simultaneous developments going on around electromagnetic pulsed weapons and high power microwave (HPM) payloads, as well as Laser weapons systems.
