Jesse and Hannah Grant and their son, Ulysses, Young Ulysses grew up in Georgetown. He lived here moved to Georgetown, Ohio in 1823. They lived on the 16 years until he left for West Point, longer than he Courthouse Square in a hotel for a short time. Shortly lived anywhere else. During his boyhood in after arriving in Georgetown, Jesse built a tannery and Georgetown, he worked in the tannery, farmed, hauled home on East Grant Avenue both of which are still freight and passengers.
