• 150 total desert bighorn • Over the next 3 years • Highest Priority Site is Mineral Mountains near Milford, Utah for this winter or fall 2019; likely source stock – Mt. Jefferson; up to 50 • UDWR continues to evaluate bighorn translocation opportunities through disease surveillance and cooperative efforts with land management agencies, local producers, and sportsmen organizations to seek release sites for restoring desert to historic ranges • Future use of desert bighorn sheep source stock may include both higher elevation basin/range and lower elevation involving herds like Mt. Jefferson and Muddy Mountains.
