After excelling on the diamond at the collegiate level, the switch-hitting first baseman was signed by the New York Yankees out of South Florida and spent six seasons in their minor league system before debuting in pin stripes in 1981. After two seasons in Major League Baseball, Destrade traveled overseas for a four-year stint in Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball League, where he led the league in home runs three separate seasons and led the Seibu Lions to a trio of Japan Series titles from 1990-92. Since 2010, Destrade has resided in Tampa, Florida and become a prominent figure on Fox Sports Florida’s ‘Rays Live’ pre- and post-game coverage. Teddy Baker, afternoon entertainer 2:00 - 5:00 PM As an entertainer, Teddy’s desire is to entertain through his humor and music. His stage presence is focused on drawing his audience into his humorous stories while touching their hearts and lives with his songs. Also in his 18th season, Todd Kalas serves as host for Rays LIVE pre- and postgame shows at Tropicana Field, while Rich Hollenberg will return for his second season anchoring away games from the FOX Sports studio.
