On a personal note, I was honored to receive the “2016 Media Award” for dedicated service to the community from the Upstate New York Chapter of The Peace Islands Institute. The award was given at their Annual Friendship Dinner and Award Ceremony on May 5. I had the pleasure of speaking at the ceremony and sharing with the guests more about WXXI and our goal of making this a better informed and inclusive community. On the same day, Need to Know host Hélène Biandudi Hofer received the “Champion for Youth Leadership Award” at the Teen Empowerment Center luncheon at the Riverside Convention Center. Hélène is deeply involved with the Teen Empowerment organization, serving as a mentor and sharing their message. The Cloverwood community promotes a passion for life and the freedom to pursue both new and familiar interests. With a variety of patio home and apartment floor plans, & residents enjoy carefree living, a spirited cultural arts program, and exceptional dining. They also love that we are a pet-friendly community! The peace of mind that comes with access to a continuum of care is an important factor as well. S Q. Cloverwood is well-known for its wide variety of cultural arts offerings -- everything from music and art appreciation (both on- and off-site) to events and speakers.
