ACU Hare & Hounds Enduro regulations and Southern Motorcycle Club Supplementary regulations. ELIGIBILITY Open to Isle of Man centre club members holding ACU Licences and those with a day licence riding solo machines. Parental Consent forms will be required for riders under the age of 18 years of age. One-event licences will be available if a rider does not hold a valid competition licence. Competition licence must be presented when signing on. COVID 19 PRECAUTIONS Hand sanitiser will be available and toilet facilities will be cleaned during the event. MACHINE ELIGIBILITY, CLASSES EVENT DETAILS Enduro Hare and Hounds event. Motocross bikes may be used. There are no specified classes however riders may be graded on start order based on those regularly competing in SMCC club championship. There are no public roads used during the event. TYRES Adult machines may use MX tyres. ENTRIES Either through: a) online entry at www.southernmcc.com or b) Entries are limited to 60 bikes Entries close Monday 13th July 6pm ● Entry fees o £30 per rider o £50 per 2 man team (single payment) ● Club Membership (if required) £5 one event or £15 annual ● A one event ACU one event licence (if required) £15 (available at signing on) TRANSPONDERS The event will be timed by electronic transponder riders must leave their ACU licence or bank card as a deposit during the event. Loss of transponder fee £40 payable within 7 days. START Carnagrie, behind Rushen Mines opposite Arasey plantation car park. Location: what3words.com/appears.biker.pursuing REGISTRATION, Adult race sign on from 5:30pm start time 6:30pm MACHINE EXAMINATION At Carnagrie on the day of the event, machine examination closes 30mins prior to start. EVENT DETAILS A FUN Hare & Hounds 2hr Enduro event for Adult pairs 15 years+ and solo competitors. Classes: 2 man/women (sharing 1 bike) Solo Ironman/Woman Flapper F1/F2 Special awards: Holeshot award for first rider across start line after lap 1 FLAPPER Technical Specification. F1 4T Prototype racing machines with a Honda C90 based chassis. Chassis modification for strength and corrosion is allowed. Swingarm and suspension are open for modification. Open modifications to all other components. F2 Pit Bike / Childs MX Machine derived. Open modifications to all other components. F1/F2 Front wheel no greater than 19” in diameter and rear wheel no greater than 16” diameter. RE-FUELLING All refuelling will be carried out in the pit area.. All riders MUST have a 2kg Dry Powder fire extinguisher (ESR37). No smoking in the refuelling area. Every rider is required to use an environmental mat (carpet offcut is acceptable) RESULTS Results will be available during the event and immediately afterward a presentation will follow with awards for various riders. RIDER NUMBERS Numbers must be clearly marked on the machine. It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure the machine number is legible by the time keepers. IMPORTANT: It is imperative that all riders and attendants follow the ACU code of conduct. Course cutting, abuse of officials and foul language will result in exclusion. If any competitor or attendant has any issues please approach any club official or Clerk of the Course, please do not post any issues on social media. By 1973, Rainey was competing in AMA national events and raced in the first night race at the Houston Astrodome. He retired in his 30’s, but re-started the second round of his racing career in 1996. He pulled his old motorcycles out of the garage and restored them. He races his motorcycles at vintage events around the country. Today, he still builds his own bikes and races in the AHRMA 70+ class on his 1974 Honda Elsinore or a Brad Lackey look-alike 400cc CZ. 2019 AMA Racing Rules Governing Pro/Am, Standard, ATV and Youth Competition An exclusive service to members of the American Motorcyclist Association The American Motorcyclist Association takes pride in its long record of achievement as the world’s largest sanctioning body for the sport of motorcycle competition. Since 1924 the objectives of the Association have been the same: to foster strong and fair competition, to provide reasonable guidelines for the various types of competition, and to provide an impartial competition program. The rules of competition are intended only as a guide for the conduct of the sport pursuant to uniform rules. Rules related to safety are made to make everyone concerned with safety. However, the AMA neither warrants safety if the rules are followed nor compliance with the enforcement of the rules. Moreover, each participant in competition has the responsibility to assess the safety aspects of facilities and conditions, and must assume the risk of competition. Recognized and non-recognized districts, and organizations within a district, must submit any temporary or locally appropriate supplemental regulations for approval by the AMA Racing Department. Supplemental regulations may not be in conflict with national rules. In the event of a protest or appeal, the judgment will be based on information contained in the AMA national rules. 2 Wheel Moto Mayhem Exceeds expectations Moto Mayhem is still just over a month away, however the interest has been massive for the inaugural 2 Wheel Moto Mayhem to be held at Oran Park raceway on Sunday 25 th February, the event is shaping up to one of the larger motorcycling events on the 2007 competition calendar. Moto Mayhem will have something for everyone, bike enthusiasts or not this event is not to be missed. Where in the world can the crowd can come to see 8 forms of motorcycle competition on 8 different circuits on one day at one venue . This style of event has never been done before, however it will be done again with plans for 2008 and beyond. With no less then 16 Current or former Australian champions competing in a variety of Disciplines the day will be nothing but Action, Action and more Action. The Pro 1 hour per discipline of racing format, will allow the spectators to go event to event watching PRO competitions all day, as most of the events will be running all day with a normal race schedule. Spectators that have a passion for just one event can watch one or up to 8 forms of bike entertainment, whichever event they prefer. Mini 85/150 : You must be 15 years old or younger to race this class. 2-stroke motorcycles must be 85cc maximum. 4-stroke motorcycles must be 150cc maximum. Mini - Adult : You must be 16 years old or older to race this class. No rules have been established regarding maximum engine or wheel size, but the intent of this class is for adult pit bikes, or adults on mini’s that are not vastly superior to a typical, air cooled pit bike. Traditional Japanese or European production motorcycles 150cc or less are eligible for this class, but if the racers skill level significantly exceeds the average class speed, they will be asked to move to a different class at subsequent races. Supermoto - Novice : This class is for new inexperienced racers, racers with minimum Supermoto experience, or racers with lap times that do not warrant moving them to the advanced class. Motorcycles used in this class must be single cylinder MX, Dual Sport, or enduro based. Engine displacement and modifications are unlimited. For example, CRF150, 250F, 450F, 125 & 250 2-strokes, DR400's, and appropriate big-bore singles are eligible for this class.
