NEUROEPIGENETICS AUTHOR INFORMATION PACK TABLE OF CONTENTS XXX . • Description p.1 • Abstracting and Indexing p.1 • Editorial Board p.1 • Guide for Authors p.3 ISSN: 2214-7845 DESCRIPTION . Neuroepigenetics is a brand new, open access journal from Elsevier which aims to provide a forum for cross-disciplinary research exploring how epigenetic mechanisms contribute to brain health and disease across the lifespan, transgenerationally and on an evolutionary scale. The journal will publish original research articles, review articles, position papers, methods articles and commentaries on technological issues related to research tools and data analysis, articles highlighting meeting proceedings. The journal welcomes research investigating epigenetic mechanisms underlying brain structure and function, cognition and behavior at all levels of biological complexity, studies of epigenetic mechanisms mediating environmental influences on brain and behavior as well as research exploring the therapeutic and diagnostic potential of epigenetic mechanisms. Also of interest is research integrating epigenomic with genomic, gene expression and other “omic” data to gain mechanistic insight about brain function inhealth and disease. This latest addition to Elseviers Neurology portfolio will be an online, open access journal. There will be no need to subscribe or to register to read published articles. Authors will retain copyright, and reuse will be permitted by means of creative commons licensing. As such an article processing fee will apply; however, in the journals initial stages significant discounts will be offered. Find out more and submit your paper at: http://ees.elsevier.com/NEPIG. Elsevier's high standards of peer review and editing will apply. ABSTRACTING AND INDEXING . Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) EDITORIAL BOARD . INTRODUCTION Neuroepigenetics is an open access journal which aims to provide a subject-specific forum for articles published on the neurological aspects of neuroepigenetics. Types of articles The principal forms of publication are the full-length Research Paper, which contains substantial, original research, and Review Articles. The journal accepts short communications that have similar subject scope as the full-length article, but do not merit a full-length publication. In addition, the journal encourages critical comment and debate in the form of Correspondence. It is important for potential interests to be declared in both places and that the information matches. More information. Submission declaration and verification Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic thesis or as an electronic preprint, see 'Multiple, redundant or concurrent publication' section of our ethics policy for more information), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, that its publication is approved by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out, and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English or in any other language, including electronically without the written consent of the copyright-holder. To verify originality, your article may be checked by the originality detection service Crossref Similarity Check. Changes to authorship Authors are expected to consider carefully the list and order of authors before submitting their manuscript and provide the definitive list of authors at the time of the original submission. Any addition, deletion or rearrangement of author names in the authorship list should be made only before the manuscript has been accepted and only if approved by the journal Editor. To request such a change, the Editor must receive the following from the corresponding author: (a) the reason for the change in author list and (b) written confirmation (e-mail, letter) from all authors that they agree with the addition, removal or rearrangement. In the case of addition or removal of authors, this includes confirmation from the author being added or removed. Only in exceptional circumstances will the Editor consider the addition, deletion or rearrangement of authors after the manuscript has been accepted. While the Editor considers the request, publication of the manuscript will be suspended. If the manuscript has already been published in an online issue, any requests approved by the Editor will result in a corrigendum. Copyright Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to complete an 'Exclusive License Agreement' (see more information on this). Permitted third party reuse of open access articles is determined by the author's choice of user license.
