ANNUAL REPORT 2019 A N N U A L R E P O R T 2 0 1 9 ANNUAL REPORT 2019 Message from Chairman On behalf of the Board of Directors, the executives and employees of Noble Development Public Company Limited (the Company), I am delighted to present the results of an outstanding year. 2019 was the first year whereby the Company operated under a new group of majority shareholders, along with a new team of the Board of Directors as well as senior executives. This has led to a change in the vision, mission and set of business strategies that has set the Company towards sustainable development and growth, and which has resulted in the Company generating in excess of ten billion Baht in revenue for the first time since its establishment. In the past year, the Company and its subsidiaries generated revenue of 15,038.5 million Baht and net profits of 3,071.2 million Baht, which is the highest revenue and net profit of the Company since its founding. A closer look at the operating results of 2019 reflects the Company’s new business strategy which focus on enhancement of the corporate management to be more flexible combined with a strong focus on optimizing shareholder value with the goal of maximizing Return on Equity. The Company focused on increasing sales of completed projects which are ready for transfer; strong sales of such inventory has allowed the Company to immediately recognized revenue, as well as improve liquidity cashflow and free up equity for redeployment. Furthermore, the Company has sold some low yielding assets, such as land plots located in areas which is not aligned with the Company’s business plan, office building space, as well as retail space generating low rental returns income. -

Data was collected by document research, observation, interview and focus group discussion. Results show that temples suffer from a lack of maintenance, poor service, inadequate tourist facilities, minimal community participation and inefficient public relations. A management model to combat these problems was designed by parties from each temple at a workshop. The model provides an eight-part strategy to increase the tourism potential of temples in Bangkok: temple site, safety, conveniences, attractions, services, public relations, cultural tourism and management. 3.4 Routing of Interceptors Options of Possible Routes of Interceptors Have
3.4 Routing of Interceptors Options of possible routes of interceptors have been developed and assessed in this Section. All of the outlets are to be intercepted and collected wastewater is to be conveyed to Nong Bon WWTP which will be constructed at the site adjacent to Rama IX Park in all options. 3.4.1 Comparison of Routes The following prerequisite conditions are established for selecting interceptor routes. 1) All of the existing outlets are intercepted. 2) Interceptors are laid under klongs or roads. 3) Outlets are connected to WWTP by shortest possible routes since the topography of the treatment area is almost flat. Among the above conditions, (1) is thought to be natural because all wastewater is to be collected. The reasons for condition (2) are described in the former Section 3.3.3. The reasons for condition (3) are to minimize construction cost by making interceptors as shallow as possible. Taking into account the above conditions, the following 2 options are developed as trial options. Option 1: Almost all interceptors are laid under klongs Option 2: Almost all interceptors are laid under roads Routes of these two options are shown in Figure 3.4.1 and 3.4.2 respectively. Features of these options are as follows. 1) A total length of interceptors of Option 1 is approximately 66 km which is shorter than that of Option 2 (78 km) by approximately 12 km, since klongs run in all directions in the treatment area. 2) Wastewater can be received directly from the existing outlets in Option 1. -

Today, I’m here in the studios of BBC 6 Music and joined by Jeff Smith, the man who has chosen the tracks that we’ve been listening to on the radio for years. Now head of music for BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 6 Music, Jeff spent most of his career in music. Previously he was head of music for Radio 1 in the late 90s, and has since worked at Capital FM and Napster. In his current role, he is tasked with shaping music policy for two of the BBC’s most popular radio stations, as the technology of how we listen to music is transforming. Jeff, thank you for joining me. Pleasure. Jeff, Radio 2 has a phenomenal 15 million listeners. How do you ensure that the music selection appeals to such a vast audience? It’s a challenge, obviously, to keep that appeal across the board with those listeners, but it appears to be working. As you say, we’re attracting 15.4 million listeners every week, and I think it’s because I try to keep a balance of the best of the best new music, with classic tracks from a whole range of eras, way back to the 60s and 70s. So I think it’s that challenge of just making that mix work and making it work in terms of daytime, and not only just keeping a kind of core audience happy, but appealing to a new audience who would find that exciting and fun to listen to. -

The artist is a lecturer at LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore and her painting received the Gold award in the Established Artist Category in the 2018 UOB Painting of the Year (Singapore) competition. The painting title is also meant to be read as “either… or” and represents a strike in motion. It reflects the artist’s movements between action and inaction during the painting process as well as captures the concept of time passing and stopping. Through technique and medium, her painting strokes express the impact of force, dynamism and transformation. The essence of the painting captures UOB’s approach to banking where due consideration is given before timely decisions are made for optimal impact. UOB’s support of art is a natural extension of our commitment to our stakeholders in the communities in which we operate. -
