Es war eine tolle und beeindruckende Veran- staltung. Doch leider war diese Sportlerehrung auch eine der letzten Veranstaltungen, die wir vor Beginn der Corona-Pandemie durchführen konnten. Das Sportjahr 2020 mit all seinen bedeu- tenden Wettkämpfen hat für die meisten Sportlerinnen und Sportler leider nur noch in sehr abgespeckter Form, für die meisten aber gar nicht mehr stattgefunden. Auch das Training musste für viele Sportlerinnen und Sportler ausfallen, da die meisten Sporthallen oder Trainingsanlagen geschlossen waren oder immer noch sind. Das ist ein herber Schlag für alle und nicht nur für diejenigen, die Hochleis- tungssport betreiben, sondern auch für die Hobby-, Schul- und Freizeitsportler. Wald und Wiese sind auf Dauer leider kein Ersatz für unsere Sportanlagen und Sporthallen. Mein Respekt, meine Anerkennung und mein herzlicher Dank geht an alle Traine- rinnen und Trainer, Verantwortliche im Sportbereich und an die Eltern, die ihre Kinder mit Erfindungsgeist und ohne Teilnahme an Wettkämpfen motiviert für den Sport halten. Den Sportlerinnen und Sportlern wünsche ich ein verletzungsfreies Jahr und möglichst bald wieder Wettkämpfe und die damit verbundenen Erfolge. Ich hoffe und freue mich auf ein Wiedersehen im nächsten Jahr auf der Bühne zur Sportlerehrung. Dirk Oestringer Bürgermeister 3 Unsere zu ehrenden Sportler Kriterien für die Sportlerehrung Die Stadt Gerlingen ehrt alljährlich ihre erfolgreichen Sportler. Geehrt werden solche Sportler, die für einen Gerlinger Verein starten oder ihren Wohnsitz in Gerlingen haben. Dabei werden Einzelkämpfer und Mannschaften – auch Versehrtensportler – geehrt, die an Jugend- (Jahrgangswertungen), Junioren- und Seniorenmeis- terschaften (Altersklassenwertung) folgende Platzierungen errungen haben: Einzelwettkämpfer: – Plätze 1 bis 10 bei nationalen und internationalen Meisterschaften – Plätze 1 bis 8 bei den Süddeutschen Meisterschaften – Plätze 1 bis 5 bei den baden-württembergischen Meisterschaften – Plätze 1 bis 3 bei den württembergischen Meisterschaften. Weiter werden Sportler geehrt, die württembergische/deutsche Rekorde oder Jahresbestleistungen aufgestellt haben oder in eine württembergische/deut- sche Auswahl berufen worden sind; ferner Teilnehmer an olympischen Spie- len, an Europa- und Weltmeisterschaften. Mannschaften: – Die Platzierungsfestlegungen der Einzelkämpfer gelten sinngemäß auch für Mannschaften. Ferner werden Mannschaften geehrt, welche in die höchste Landesliga aufge- stiegen sind und weiterhin in dieser Liga am Spielbetrieb teilnehmen. Der vorgenannte Kreis der zu ehrenden Personen und die Form der Ehrung wird jeweils auf Vorschlag der Verwaltung vom Kultur-, Jugend- und Sport- ausschuss des Gemeinderats festgelegt. 4 Sportart Sportverein/Verein Name Sportliche Leistung Badminton Philipp Most 3.
