Nationals Homestand Highlights 4/10-4/16 Posted by TBNDavid On 04/07/2017 The upcoming homestand features an unforgettable experience for the whole family: the first-ever Easter Egg Hunt at Nationals Park! In addition, the homestand includes the Daniel Murphy bobblehead giveaway for the first 25,000 fans on Friday. There will also be a celebration of the contributions of African-Americans to the game of baseball on Jackie Robinson Day, complimentary tickets for military service members on Military Appreciation Day and the annual Blossoms and Baseball game. As a reminder, before Nationals' home games, Center Field Gate will open two hours prior to the scheduled first pitch. This is a change for the 2017 season. All remaining gates will continue to open one and a half hours prior to the scheduled first pitch, as they did during the 2016 season. All gate opening times are subject to change. TUESDAY, APRIL 11 • Blossoms and Baseball – A National Cherry Blossom Festival Event Presented by Peet’s Coffee: Blossoms and Baseball celebrate the best parts of spring in D.C. — the National Cherry Blossom Festival and the beginning of a new Nationals baseball season. Representatives from the National Cherry Blossom Festival will participate in the pregame ceremony, and the Ambassador of Japan to the United States, His Excellency Kenichiro Sasae, will throw out the game’s ceremonial first pitch. In addition, exclusive Cherry Blossom-themed products will be available in the Main Team Store from April 10-12, while supplies last. To purchase tickets, visit nationals.com/tickets and use code BLOSSOMS. • Peet’s Coffee Sampling: In celebration of Blossoms and Baseball presented by Peet’s Coffee, Peet’s will provide complimentary coffee samples next to the Advanced Ticket Sales window off of Center Field Plaza, while supplies last. Maximum of two tickets per ID. On Saturday, all players and on-field personnel across the league will don No. 42 jerseys in honor of Robinson, as they have each April 15 since 2009. Videos will air throughout the game highlighting African-American baseball greats, and community members will participate in the pregame ceremony.
