NOTORIOUS INTER STATE ATTENTION DIVERSION “OG GANG” BUSTED- 02 HELD

On credible information the sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone team busted notorious Inter-State attention diversion “OG Kuppam gang” by apprehending (02) accused persons 1) Akula Kiran 2) Gogula Thulasindhar wherein the prime accused Akula Kiran formed a gang with his associates Gogula Thulasindhar, S.Prabhudass & Samuvel Raj and committed Attention diversion cases in Telangana, & State.

➢ Details of accused persons:- 1. Akula Kiran S/o Late A.Munaswamy, Age 27 Years, Occ:- Auto Driver, N/o OG Kuppam (Oran thangal Golla Kuppam) village, Nagari Mandal, Chittoor Dist, Andhra Pradesh State ( Leader of the gang ) (Earlier arrested in 23 Cases by Thumukuru PS, )

2. Gogula Thulasindhar S/o Nageswar Rao, Age 28 Years, N/o OG Kuppam village, Nagari Mandal, , Andhra Pradesh State (Associate) (Earlier arrested in 17 cases by Thumukuru PS, Bangalore)

➢ Modus operandi:- The gang members are born and bought up at OG Kuppam village, Nagari Mandal, Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh State. The gang members used to go out from their native place by forming themselves into groups and reach the selected cities on their Two wheelers and stay in the lodges or staying by taking house on rent at the out skirts of the city. Later on they identify some banks where they will easily divert the attention of those who visit the bank to withdraw cash. One of the gang member will enter into the Bank and keep watch on customers who withdraw huge money. By identifying the person he pass the information to other members of the gang over phone who are waiting outside of the bank.

As soon as the targeted person came out from bank along with cash and naturally keeps his amount in the Dickey of two wheeler or inside the car.

The gang members will use several tricks to dupe the victim as follows :

M.O-I. Follow the target person for some distance on their vehicle till the victim park the vehicle. After his leaving by parking the vehicle, one of the accused cover the vehicle and another accused commit theft of cash from the two wheeler dickey by opening with specially designed instrument.

M.O-II. Puncturing the target person’s vehicle, after parking to commit theft of cash from the vehicle dickey of victim.

M.O-III. Applying itching spray, offering help and commit theft of amount from target person.

M.O-IV. Dropping 50, 100 notes on the road to divert the attention of target person.

The accused persons have been moving in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka & Tamilnadu states and apply their attention diversion skills by various means, commit theft of cash from the victims and fled away from the spot.

➢ BRIEF HISTORY OF ACCUSED PERSONS :- The accused Akula Kiran is native of OG Kuppam village of Andhra Pradesh State. He studied upto 10th class. He is running taxi Auto for his livelihood. He addicted to all sorts of bad habits such as consuming Toddy, Liquor, etc. Previously he was associated with Attention diverting gangs and committed theft of cash from the victims.

After become expert in committing offences the accused Akula Kiran himself formed a gang with 1) Gogula Thulasindhar, 2) S. Prabhudass, Samuvel Raj and started committing offence in selected cities. He is a habitual offender, previously arrested by Thumkuru Police in 23 cases of Karnataka, Tamilnadu & Andhra Pradesh States.

In the month of June, 2018 he released from Hospeta sub-jail, Karnataka State. Again he along with his associates started committing offences.

The accused Gogula Thulasindhar is native of OG Kuppam village of Andhra Pradesh State, he is illiterate and eking his livelihood by plying Taxi Auto. He is main associate of Akula Kiran and habitual offender, previously he was arrested by Thumkuru PS in (17) cases belongs to Karnataka, Tamilnadu & Andhra Pradesh States. In the month of June, 2018 he released from Hospeta sub jail, Karnataka State along with main accused Akula Kiran. Again he along with his associates started committing offences.

➢ Arrest:- Today on the credible information the Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone team along with Police Amberpet PS laid a trap near Nampally Railway station, Hyderabad and apprehended (02) Accused persons.

The accused persons along with seized material are being handed over to SHO, Amberpet PS for further investigation.

The arrest was made under the supervision of Sri.P.Radhakishan Rao, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad by Sri K. Nageswar Rao, Inspector of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone, K.S.Ravi, D.I of Falaknuma PS & SIs G.Rajashekar Reddy, B.Parameshwar, K.Srikanth and North Zone Task Force Team, Hyderabad.

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me under section 21 (1) (b) of the Hyderabad City Police Act, I, ANJANI KUMAR, I.P.S, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City do hereby notify, for information of the general public that in order to facilitate proper regulation of traffic and ensure public safety in connection with the construction of (4) lane elevated corridor from Road No.45, Jubilee Hills (i.e., from Srihar’s residence) to Durgam Cheruvu. The following traffic restrictions and diversions will be imposed for a period of (3) Months, w.e.f. 21-02-2020 to 20-05-2020.

TRAFFIC DIVERSION

Traffic coming from Road No. 45 Jubilee Hills and going towards Ambedkar Open University will be diverted onto road No. 52, Road No. 46 and again Join Road No. 45

from Road no. 49.

All citizens are requested to take alternate routes to their destinations and avoid the above route during above work and co-operate with the Traffic Police during the period of traffic diversion as above.
