Magnificent south facing, 4.6 meter wide, floor to ceiling, glass sliding doors, open onto a large timber deck overlooking the garden. A bespoke solid cedar, open-tread staircase of German manufacture leads to the galleried landing on the first floor and the four en-suite bedrooms. The master bedroom is a very generous double room with south facing double French doors opening to a Juliette balcony and windows on two further sides. A walk-in wardrobe, and an en suite shower room complete the facilities. The second master bedroom is spacious with a vaulted ceiling and Velux windows that open to reveal a virtual balcony, affording fabulous views across the gardens and countryside beyond. This en-suite has a bath, a separate walk in shower and under floor heating. Bedroom 3 has a painted wooden floor and is filled with natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows. The en-suite shower room has a second door opening on to the landing thus allowing this en-suite to be used separately from the bedroom. Bedroom 4 has an en-suite shower room comprising a bidet, walk- in shower and underfloor heating. One whole wall is of glass and incorporates a door on to a lovely covered balcony affording views from the front of the house towards the woodland and driveway. Outside The Woodlands stands in an enviable position at the end of its own picturesque driveway which sweeps through the private woodland to the front of the property which is laid to tarmac and gravel and provides ample parking. The grounds abut the neighbouring extensive Dunstall Estate providing endless opportunity for walking, cycling and hacking.     Tracking Progression: 2008 Year 11 school leavers going into Higher Education in 2010 Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent March 2011 Introduction Analysis of entry to Higher Education (HE) by Local Authority, district and mainstream, maintained high school This report shows the proportion of all 2008 Year 11 high school students who went on to enter Higher Education (HE) at age 18 in 2010 (i.e. after two years of further education). Figures include those who have an unconditional place offer and are taking a 'gap year'. This study includes those who have entered HE from both the school and college sectors. The report sub-divides the Year 11 cohort into quintiles based on where they live. So Quintile 1 represents those areas in the County/City that are among the 20% most deprived in the country and identifies how many learners in the cohort come from this quintile, and how many of those subsequently applied to higher education. Quintile 5 represents those from areas in the 20% least deprived in the country. The deprivation of an area is based on the Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD) which is described below (see*). To provide some comparison year on year, data for 2008 entry to HE has been included in the analysis. * The Index of Multiple Deprivation 2007 (IMD 2007) is based on the small area of geography known as Lower Super Output Areas (LSOAs).     Abbots Bromley Parish Council Newsletter Summer 2002 Number 18 Abbots Bromley Parish Council and the new Code of Conduct The Local Government Act 2000 requires all parish councils to adopt a revised standard Code of Conduct, and also demands that individual councillors sign up to the Code and complete a personal Register of Interests. Parish Councillors have always signed up to a comprehensive Code of Conduct but the new legislation requires much more personal detail about each councillor. (Councillors are in addition still required to declare any relevant interests at any meeting where this may be appropriate.) A new Standards Board for England has also been set up to investigate complaints. You may have heard something about reactions to the new Code of Conduct in the press. Across the country this has ranged from whole parish councils resigning en masse through to full implementation without protest. Locally we have taken the view that it is very much a matter for the individual councillor to decide their own position and act accordingly. Those who are happy to adopt the Code have considered the matter carefully. Those who do not wish to sign are concerned that the new requirements are excessive compared to the powers and budgets of Parish Councils and that their introduction mid-term changes the basis on which they were elected to serve. Having studied the requirements and implications of the Local Government Act 2000, three of the nine councillors feel unable to sign up to the model code of conduct that this law required the Parish Council to adopt.
