The years following the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011 saw a succession of gloomy news. It was under such circumstances that I devoted myself to training toward the 2014 Sochi Paralympics, wishing to deliver bright, encouraging news to the people in my homeland, Fukushima. In the world there still seem to be those who even now think Fukushima is as dangerous a place to visit or live as in the days immediately after the nuclear power plant accident. This is simply not true. Except for only a few areas, Fukushima today is a safe place, where local people are living normal daily lives exactly the same way as they used to in the pre-disaster days. At the 2010 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, I wish many people to visit
