We want an Executive Director who shares our values and has ambition, drive and determination to help us create that. In Wales, NHS policy is the responsibility of the Welsh Government and health policy has diverged significantly from that operating in England where a market-driven system, increasingly based on competition, has developed. In Wales the emphasis is on collaboration not competition. Unlike in England, the seven Health Boards in Wales Andrew Davies, Chairman deliver an integrated service and are responsible for both commissioning and planning all levels of citizen-centred healthcare services, as well as delivering them. In practice, this means that ABMU Health Board is delivering - and developing - services which range from primary and community health care, mental health, and responsibility for public health, through to highly specialised tertiary services. We are doing this in close partnership with our local authority, third sector

Electoral Division: Cockett Report of the Head of Economic Regeneration and Planning Planning Committee – 11 August 2015 Planning Application Ref: 2014/1837 Construction of a 4MW solar farm comprising c14790 individual panels and associated structures and works Land at Cockett Valley, Waunarlwydd Road, Swansea. SA5 4RQ 1.0 Background 1.1 This application was reported to Planning Committee on 14 th July 2015 with the recommendation that planning permission be approved subject to conditions. Members did not accept the recommendation but resolved that the application be deferred under the two stage voting process so that further advice could be provided on reasons for refusal. The application will not be deemed to be refused unless and until reasons for refusal have been recorded and approved by members 1.2 A copy of the report to Planning Committee on 14 th July 2014 is attached as Appendix A. 2.0 Main Issues 2.1 Members identified the following areas as possible grounds for refusal of the application: residential amenity, highway safety, the visual impact on the Cockett Valley Green Wedge and the efficiency of the solar panels in meeting renewable energy targets. 2.2 In terms of residential amenity, the site in general is well screened from surrounding residential properties due to the landform and intervening vegetation. The siting and height of the panels would ensure that the structures would not be overbearing nor have an overshadowing impact on the occupiers of nearby residential properties and the nature of the use is such that there would be no overlooking from the site.

The twelve years I worked for Amgueddfa Genedlaethol y Glannau/National Waterfront Museum have given me considerable experience in Swansea‘s cultural heritage and tourism. As a practising artist and musician, I passionately believe that the arts are central both to personal wellbeing and creating a vibrant city. I have very strong links with the artistic community in Swansea, am a Director of Swansea Print Workshop, and a governor of St. Helen's Cllr Erika Kirchner, Cllr Fiona Gordon and Cllr David Phillips with Labour candidate Hannah Lawson Primary School. I was very actively involved in the trade union movement, as a rep and union official – both local and national. I was Chair of a PCS branch covering seven public sector sites across Wales; and am very proud of standing up for our lowest paid members, resulting in a successful high-profile industrial dispute that secured a victory for weekend working staff.
