Bus Routes for 2018 ST DOMINIC’S CATHOLIC COLLEGE BUS ROUTES FOR 2018 BUS 1 BETHELLS BEACH Free for students more than 2.4km from Waitakere or Swanson Rail Stations. Otherwise a pay bus. BUS 2 SCENIC DRIVE Free for students 2.4km from Swanson Rd and 4.8 kms from Liston College. Otherwise a pay bus. BUS 3 RIVERHEAD Free for students 2.4km from SH16. All other students a pay bus. BUS 7 HUAPAI / KUMEU Free for students living in this area, 2.4km from SH16 and 2.4km from Waitakere Rail Station. BUS 9 MURIWAI Free for students living from Muriwai to 2.4km from Waimauku BUS 11 TAUPAKI Free for students 2.4km from Waitakere Station and 2.4km from SH16. Then a pay bus. BUS 12 WAIRERE ROAD Free for students 2.4km from the Waitakere Rail Station. Boundary 200m from Duffys Rd intersection. Otherwise a pay bus BUS 1611 PIHA/KAREKARE Free for students who live in the Piha/Karekare and Anawhata areas only All eligible students will receive a bus pass which must be presented to the driver each ride. IF YOUR DAUGHTER IS ELIGIBLE FOR FREE TRAVEL PLEASE CONTACT THE OFFICE TO ORGANISE A BUS PASS (8390380 x 0) Non-eligible students wishing to access bus 1, 2, 9 or 12 will need to purchase a ten-ride ticket for $22.00 from the College office. Note: Ministry of Education criteria state that for a student to be eligible for free travel to school he or she must; live at least 4.8km from the school and live more than 2.4km from any form of public transport. Thus all students within 4.8km of Liston/St Dominic’s, within 2.4km of Waitakere or Swanson rail stations, within 2.4km of SH16, Hobsonville Road, are deemed not eligible for free transport. An alteration to the existing Unitary Plan Designation 6766 is required to accommodate the proposed safety improvement works on SH16 between Waimauku and Huapai. Land Requirement Plans (LRP’s) have been prepared for 17 private properties to identify the proposed areas of temporary and permanent land requirement. The LRP’s were lodged with Auckland Council with the Notice of Requirement to alter the designation on 29 November 2019. Throughout the development of the LRP’s for the 17 properties, mapping discrepancies were identified for 7 properties due to different data sources and inaccuracies. Auckland Council and Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) are currently in the process of updating the electronic map data to reflect the correct property parcel boundaries. We understand that, Auckland Council will then undertake a correction of the Unitary Plan in accordance with Schedule 1 Clause 20A of the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA) to correct the Designation 6766 boundary identified on the Auckland Council Unitary Plan GeoMaps.
