Earl Abell was one of Colgate’s football “greats,” having been named J. THOMAS ALBRIGHT ‘35 All-America tackle by Walter Camp in 1915. He played varsity football (Inducted Sept. 26, 1980) for four years and was captain of the 1915 team. He was elected to the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame in 1973.
