There are also six Mini-Movies set between the pilot and the first season, which provide insight into the backstory of the show. Along the way, they must unlock their Spinjitzubecome a team, and search for Kai's younger sister, Nya kidnapped by the Underworld's Skeleton Army under Lord Garmadon's ordersto learn the ways of the Ninja, master the art of Spinjitzu, and find the Golden Weapons before Garmadon and the Skulkin can claim them for their maniacal machinations while the Skulkin army and their four-armed leader, Samukaiwho is the former King of the Underworld and Lord Garmadon's second-in-command, hunt them down. Following the disappearance Lego Ninjago Lord Garmadon, the Ninja enjoy a short period Lego Ninjago peace. During this time, Master Wu reveals bits of the backstory to his pupils, including how Lord Garmadon fell to the Underworld and usurped Samukai. As our heroes try to overcome emotional barriers with the evil dark lord Garmadon and team up together Lego Ninjago this greater mutual enemy, the Ninja unlock their True Potential one by one, all while trying Lego Ninjago learn the identity of the legendary Green Ninja destined to defeat the "dark lord". Despite Lego Ninjago Ninja's efforts, Pythor Lego Ninjago his tribe manage to collect all three fangblades, however, the Ninja unlock their true potential and gear up, ready to take on the Serpentine army. In the end, through Kai's realization, all of the training Kai, Jay, Cole and Zane underwent wasn't to become the green ninja, it was Lego Ninjago protect him. Lloyd is revealed to be the destined chosen one. This causes grief to Wu and Garmadon since their family has become even more divided. In the end, Lego Ninjago Ninja, Wu, and Garmadon give a look of nervous sadness because of how heartbreaking, emotionally difficult and heart- wrenching it will be for Lloyd to battle his own father in the near future.

Reflections on Education of Character Animation Tsai-Yun Mou 1* 1 National Pingtung University, TAIWAN Received 20 April 2018 ▪ Revised 12 August 2018 ▪ Accepted 13 September 2018 ABSTRACT In character animation education, the training process needs diverse domain knowledge to be covered in order to develop students with good animation ability. However, design of motion also requires digital ability, creativity and motion knowledge. Moreover, there are gaps between animation education and industry production which motion capture is widely applied. Here we try to incorporate motion capture into education and investigate whether motion capture is supportive in character animation, especially in creativity element. By comparing two kinds of motion design method, traditional keyframe and motion capture, we investigated students’ creativity in motion design. The results showed that in originality factor, keyframe method had slightly higher performance support for designing unusual motions. Nevertheless, motion capture had shown more support in creating valid actions in quantity which implied fluency factor of creativity was achieved. However, in flexibility factor, although motion capture created more emotions in amount, keyframe method actually offered higher proportion of sentiment design. Participants indicated that keyframe was helpful to design extreme poses. While motion capture provided intuitive design tool for exploring possibilities. Therefore, we propose to combine motion capture technology with keyframe method in character animation education to increase digital ability, stimulate creativity, and establish solid motion knowledge.     Movie Review: ‘The Lego Ninjago Movie’

    Movie Review: ‘The Lego Ninjago Movie’ NEW YORK — Third time lucky? Not for the Lego screen franchise, alas. In following up on 2014’s “The Lego Movie” and “The Lego Batman Movie” from earlier this year, directors Charlie Bean, Paul Fisher and Bob Logan — the latter two also co-writers, along with four others — attempt to blend a children’s feature and an action film. The result, “The Lego Ninjago Movie” (Warner Bros.), is awkward, noisy and tedious, though the boredom is occasionally relieved by the odd flash of wit. Bookended by live-action sequences featuring martial-arts icon Jackie Chan as a curio shop owner who becomes the story’s narrator, the cartoon follows the exploits of a schoolboy named Lloyd (voice of Dave Franco), a resident of far-off Ninjago City. With his home town constantly under attack by his villainous father, Garmadon (voice of Justin Theroux), Lloyd is an object of scorn and derision to many of his peers. Yet, unbeknown to them or to Garmadon, Lloyd leads a double life, battling his bad dad in the guise of a ninja warrior. He’s backed up by a quintet of pals and fellow fighters: Cole (voice of Fred Armisen), Nya (voice of Abbi Jacobson), Jay (voice of Kumail Nanjiani), Kai (voice of Michael Pena) and Zane (voice of Zach Woods). Like Lloyd himself, all of them have trained under the tutelage of Master Wu (voiced by Chan), Lloyd’s wise and virtuous uncle (and Garmadon’s estranged brother). The forgettable series of explosions and other disturbances that follow from this set- up drown out the script’s listless pursuit of themes like the possibility of personal conversion and the value of family reconciliation.
