The following are based on problems that the class wrote as part of the homework. Use the bottom-up strategy of taking turns to decide how to allocate items. Rather than flipping a coin to pick a player to go first, try both possibilities.

1. Jan and Jill are two twin sisters who have shared a room their whole lives. Now they are going off to college and rooming with randoms to get the ”college experience.” They have accumulated items throughout the years that they both want to take with them.

2. Jamie and Alyssa are huge NSYNC fans. Recently, Jamie found a pack of 5 buttons with each member of NSYNC on one button: Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez, and Chris Kirkpatrick. Obviously, both of them want to keep all 5 buttons, but that wouldn’t be fair.

3. Twin sisters received a care package from Aunt Sammy. There are mascara, lipstick, bronzer, eyebrow pencil, blush, and nail polish inside the package. Aunt Sammy didn’t specify who gets what, so the sisters will have to decide for themselves.
