L’inquietante copertina, che presentava un disegno del volto di un ipotetico alieno, mi colpì molto ed iniziai a sfogliare il volume per capire di cosa si trattasse. L’introduzione del libro di Strieber recitava così: “Quando leggerete questa storia incredibile non siate troppo scettici: in qualche punto del vostro passato potrebbero esserci delle ore perdute o degli strani ricordi: forse anche voi avete avuto quest’esperienza. Questo libro vuol essere un tentativo di stabilire un rapporto nuovo con l’ignoto. Invece di evitare il buio, possiamo affrontarlo decisi, con mente aperta. Allora, l’ignoto si trasforma. Quel che ci atterriva diventa comprensibile e ci propone una nuova verità: l’enigmatica presenza della mente umana ci risponde, ammiccante, dal buio.” Rimasi molto affascinato da quelle parole e decisi di acquistare il libro per approfondire la vicenda. Da li iniziò la mia avventura nel mondo dell’Ufologia e dei Fenomeni Connessi. Cominciai a divorare libri, riviste, programmi televisivi, conferenze e tutto ciò che era inerente l’argomento degli Oggetti Volanti Non Identificati.
