  • Ref: LCAA7036 Offers Over £125,000
Ref: LCAA7036 Offers over £125,000 East Wheal Lovell Engine House, Laity, Wendron, Helston, Cornwall FREEHOLD A spectacular Grade II Listed classic Cornish engine house in almost 2 acres, with planning permission for conversion to a 2 bedroomed residential dwelling with generous ancillary accommodation taking in outstanding 360˚ views over the surrounding countryside. Planning permission is extremely hard to achieve on such sensitive buildings and so this truly is a rare opportunity. The property is set down a long private driveway and is well positioned between Falmouth and Helston. 2 Ref: LCAA7036 PROPOSED SUMMARY OF ACCOMMODATION Lower Ground Floor: utility room. Ground Floor: kitchen/dining room, wc. Extensive workshop and store rooms with shower room off. First Floor: 2 bedrooms, shower room. Second Floor: living room opening onto a vast balcony. Outside: Long private driveway, level field around the north side of the engine house and overgrown land to the south. In all, about 1.9 acres. DESCRIPTION East Wheal Lovell Engine House is part of Cornwall’s heritage mining landscape and it is extremely rare for such properties to be granted planning permission for conversion into residential dwellings. Our client has gone through the extensive process with both the planning and Listed Buildings Authorities and has gained permission for full residential consent under Planning Reference PA15/09775 which was approved on the 2nd June 2016. This handsome structure stands within grounds of just under 2 acres, the majority of which is a large level field with scrubland to the south and a long approach drive leading in. Even from the field there are excellent views over countryside to the surrounding landmarks and it is thought that from the upper floors the sea along the south coast may be visible as it is from various nearby locations.

Uaunton BARNICOTT &- PEARCE, ATHEN^UM PRESS 1907 BARNICOTT AND PEARCE PRINTERS Preface. T is usual to write something as a preface, and this generally appears to be to make some excuse for having written at all. In a pre- face to Tom Toole and his Friends — a very interesting book published a few years ago, by Mrs. Henry Sandford, in which the poets Coleridge and Wordsworth, together with the Wedgwoods and many other eminent men of that day figure,—the author says, on one occasion, when surrounded by old letters, note books, etc., an old and faithful servant remon- " " strated with her thus : And what for ? she " demanded very emphatically. There's many a hundred dozen books already as nobody ever reads." Her hook certainly justified her efforts, and needed no excuse. But what shall I say of this } What for do 1 launch this little book, which only refers to the parish ot Mylor ^ vi Preface. The great majority of us are convinced that the county of our birth is the best part of Eng- land, and if we are folk country-born, that our parish is the most favoured spot in it. With something of this idea prompting me, I have en- deavoured to look up all available information and documents, and elaborate such by personal recollections and by reference to authorities.

  • SOUTH WEST Newquay Beach Newquay, Facing the Atlantic Ocean
SOUTH WEST Newquay Beach Newquay, facing the Atlantic Ocean on the North Cornwall Coast, is the largest resort in Cornwall. There are many different beaches to choose from including: Towan Beach, Fistral Beach, Lusty Glaze, Holywell Bay and Crantock. Reachable by a stiff walk from the village of West Pentire, is Porth Joke, also known as Polly Joke, a delightful suntrap of a beach, surrounded by low cliffs, some with sea caves, unspoilt and popular with families. A stream runs down the valley, and open fields and low dunes lead right onto the head of the beach. The beach is popular with body boarders. Often cattle from the nearby Kelseys, an ancient area of springy turfed grassland, rich in wildflowers, can be found drinking from the stream. Beyond the headland is Holywell Bay arguably one of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall, backed by sand dunes framed by the Gull Rocks off shore. Reachable by a 15 minute walk from the Car Park. It is a nice walk west along the Coast to Penhale Point, with superb views across Perran Bay, with Perranporth in the middle distance. Nearest Travelodge: Stay at the St Austell Travelodge, Pentewan Road, St Austell, Cornwall, PL25 5BU from as little as £29 per night, best deals can be found online at www.travelodge.co.uk Clifton Suspension Bridge- Bristol The Clifton Suspension Bridge, is the symbol of the city of Bristol.
