Submitted by: 10 Yetis PR and Marketing Wednesday, 17 February 2010 More than 2,300 members of the public were asked to vote for the Eastenders character they’d most like to share a takeaway with – with Alfie Moon, played by actor Shane Ritchie, topping the list of most loved characters. Janine Butcher is the most hated character from the last 25 years, with three quarters of the public admitting they disliked her. Friday marks the 25th anniversary of popular British soap Eastenders, with a half hour live special episode. To commemorate the occasion, the UK’s leading takeaway website www.Just-Eat.co.uk (http://www.just-eat.co.uk) asked 2,310 members of the public to list the character they’d most like to ‘have a takeaway with’, in the style of the age old ‘who would you invite to a dinner party’ question. When asked the multi-answer question, “Which Eastenders characters from the last 25 years would you most like to share a takeaway meal with?’, Shane Richie’s Alfie Moon, who first appeared in 2002 topped the poll with 42% of votes. The study was entirely hypothetical, and as such included characters which may no longer be alive.     FIRST GENERATION 1. Henry MITCHELL Sr was born about 1634 in Scotland. Date of birth is estimated based on an immigration age of 18. He died before 1718 in VA. This branch of the Mitchells were a part of the Clan Innes near Strathblane, Scotland. They migrated first to Ulster, Ireland and from there to America. They originally settled in Chester County, Pennsylvania and later moved into Prince George County, Virginia. Some of the family eventually moved to Thomas County, Georgia and were an important influence on the early development of the county. 1652 - Henry arrived in Henrico County, Virginia about 1652. He is listed in the head rights of Richard Thomas who was granted land on the north side of the Appomattox River in Henrico, County for the transportation of four persons of whom "Hen" Mitchell was one. Henry settled on the north side of the Appomattox, near its mouth, about 10 miles from Malvern Hill. 1704 - Henry Sr. is listed in Quit Rents as owning 100 acres of land. 1705 - Henry deeded land to his son, Robert, and to his grandchildren (sons of Robert), Robert and Henry (Prince George County Deeds 1713-1728). This land, originally in Charles City County, was granted in 1634 to Nathaniel Tatum. It was purchased prior to 1705 and was located on the south side of the Appomattox River in Bristol Parish. He was married to [--?--] ? JARRETT about 1669 in VA. Henry's wife was probably the sister or daughter of Robert Jarrett who was the only Jarrett in the vicinity at the time.
