----- President Harry S. Truman Headed Into The William Chrisman Hall of Fame! -----

William Chrisman High School is proud to announce that we are restarting our Athletic Hall of Fame. Our school was one of the first in the metro area to honor our graduates who had made significant contributions to William Chrisman High School and to society through their athletic endeavors.

The William Chrisman High School Hall of Fame inducted 59 members from 1989 ? 2004.

This year, 2011, we will induct nine new members into the William Chrisman High School Hall of Fame during halftime of our homecoming football game at 1:00 pm on October 1, 2011. Our homecoming opponent is Nevada High School.

The Hall of Fame class of 2011 by year of graduation is:

Class of 1901 -- Harry and Bess Truman ? Distinguished Service President and First Lady.

Class of 1942 -- Robert and Roger Skinner ? football and basketball. Deaf mutes recognized for contributions to the handicapped throughout their lives.

Class of 1951 -- Gary Bergen ? basketball. University of Utah ? 1st round NBA draft pick of the New York Knicks in 1956.

Class of 1962 -- Mike Mattox ? football, basketball, track & field. Elite US Decathlete, now developing and selling his patented exercise equipment.

Class of 1982 -- Nancy (Davidson) Willoughby ? volleyball. Member of state champion volleyball, All Conference / All District teams.

Class of 1994 -- LaShena Graham ? basketball. Member 92-93 team finished 3rd, two time all state.

Class of 2003 -- Jillian Ohrman ? volleyball, track & field. Three time All conference & district volleyball, all state in track.

Congratulations to each of these individuals. We are very proud to call them "Bears."

Multiple Classes meet every Thursday at high noon at Buffalo Wildwings, 20110 E. Jackson Drive, Independence, Missouri 64057 Class of 1950 meets for breakfast the second Monday of each month. Class of 1953 meets on the 3rd Monday of every month. Class of 1954 meets for lunch the fourth Wednesday of each month. Class of 1956 55th reunion will be held June 4, 2011. The Class of 1956 has a monthly get- together for breakfast and visiting the 2nd Wednesday of every month. In June, Coach Bruch had a hip replacement and that went very well. He is now scheduled in August to go to the North Kansas City Hospital and get that bad knee replaced. Please wish Coach well and maybe add him in your prayers.
