Matchday 33 TIM 2020-21 24 - 26 April 2021 24/04/2021 15:00 - LUIGI FERRARIS Vs SPEZIA Genoa have won five of their eight meetings between Serie A TIM, and against Spezia, losing only once (1-2 in Serie B in 2006). In each of the eight meetings in either Serie A TIM, Serie B and Coppa Italia, both Genoa and Spezia have found the net (3.9 goals per game on average). Genoa have won five of their last seven games in Serie A TIM against newly promoted sides (D1 L1). Spezia have lost their last five Serie A TIM away matches, after remaining unbeaten in seven of their first 11 such games in the competition this (W4 D3). Genoa are unbeaten in each of their last 10 home games in Serie A TIM (W3 D7); however, they have drawn each of their last five such matches, never drawing more consecutive home games in their history in the competition. Genoa and Spezia have earned the same number of points in Serie A TIM this term (33); however, Genoa, on average, have won 1.5 points per game against sides currently in the lower half of the table, with Spezia earning only 1.2 points against such teams - only Crotone and Parma performing worse. 24/04/2021 18:00 - ENNIO TARDINI PARMA Vs CROTONE The reverse fixture earlier this season was the only previous meeting in either Serie A TIM, Serie B or the Coppa Italia between Parma and Crotone – a 2-1 win for the Rossoblu thanks to Junior Messias’ brace. Parma have failed to win each of their five Serie A TIM matches against promoted sides this season (D4 L1) - they have never before failed to win at least one of these matches within a single top-flight campaign. Crotone will play against a side in the bottom-two positions of the table at the beginning of a Serie A TIM match-day for the first time this season: they have won three of their last five such matches in the competition (L2). Parma have lost seven of their nine Serie A TIM home games in 2021 (W1 D1): no team has suffered more defeats on home soil since the turn of the year. Crotone have lost their last 10 Serie A TIM away matches, conceding 2+ goals in each of them: the last side to lose 11 away matches in a row whilst always shipping more than one , was Triestina back in 1947. Parma have only kept one clean sheet in their last 20 league games, conceding 2+ goals in 18 matches in the process. 24/04/2021 20:45 - MAPEI STADIUM SASSUOLO Vs SAMPDORIA Sassuolo have lost only three of their 15 Serie A TIM games against Sampdoria, with the most recent defeat back in March 2019 (W7 D5). After having picked up only two points in the first three Serie A TIM home games against Sampdoria, Sassuolo have won three of their last four such meetings (L1). Sassuolo have both scored and conceded in each of their last nine Serie A TIM home games; they have never had a longer such run in the competition. Sassuolo could win four matches in a row in Serie A TIM for the first time since July 2020.

Sampdoria have won three of their last five Serie A TIM games (D1 L1), as many wins in the previous 11. Excluding matches played against teams that started the MD in the bottom two positions of the standings, Sampdoria have won only one of their last 11 away Serie A TIM matches (D4 L6), 2-1 against Verona in December 2020. No team has scored fewer goals via crosses in Serie A TIM this season than Sassuolo (five), whilst only Juventus (14) have managed more such league goals than Sampdoria (12) in the Italian top-flight this term. Sassuolo’s scored his first brace in Serie A TIM against Sampdoria, which turned into a hat-trick in November 2013. His last hat-trick in the competition was also against the Blucerchiati, back in September 2019. Sassuolo’s Hamed Traore has had a direct hand in more Serie A TIM goals against Sampdoria than any other side (four, two goals and two assists). Indeed, the Ivorian has also scored in three of his last six appearances in the competition. Sampdoria striker has been involved in four goals in his last four Serie A TIM matches against Sassuolo (three goals, one assist).

25/04/2021 12:30 - CIRO VIGORITO BENEVENTO Vs UDINESE Both Benevento and Udinese have won one Serie A TIM meeting against the other (D1) - Benevento have attempted more shots (42 v 39) and shots on target (15 v 11) than Udinese in these three clashes. Udinese have won their last two Serie A TIM games against promoted sides (v Spezia and Crotone), after having failed to win each of their previous six such matches (D3 L3). Udinese have won only one of their last 14 Serie A TIM away matches against sides from Campania (D4 L9), 2-1 against Napoli in April 2011, thanks to Gökhan Inler and German Denis’ goals. Benevento are the only side yet to win a Serie A TIM home match in 2021 (D4 L5), whilst among all sides within the top five European leagues, only Nantes in have the same winless record since the turn of the year. Udinese are unbeaten in their last seven Serie A TIM away matches against sides below them in the league table (W4 D3). 54% of Benevento's goals in Serie A TIM this season have come via from set-pieces (19/35), the highest ratio in the top-flight this season. Udinese have conceded the most goals from penalties in the top five European leagues in 2021 - eight. Benevento’s Marco Sau has had a direct hand in three goals in his last three home appearances against Udinese in Serie A TIM (two goals, one assist). Indeed, Sau has netted four goals in a single Serie A TIM campaign for the first time since 2016-17 (seven goals for Cagliari). With eight goals to his name this season, Udinese Rodrigo de Paul could equal his best goal tally in a single Serie A TIM campaign - nine in 2018-19.

25/04/2021 15:00 - ARTEMIO FRANCHI FIORENTINA Vs JUVENTUS After the 3-0 win in the reverse fixture, Fiorentina could win two Serie A TIM matches in a row against Juventus for the first time since 1998. Following their 3-0 win earlier this season, Fiorentina are looking to complete the top-flight double over Juventus for the first time since 1968-69. Fiorentina have failed to score in their last three Serie A TIM home matches against Juventus, only once in their history have they had a longer run at home against a single opponent - four v Lazio between 1952 and 1955. After the 2-1 win against Verona last time out, Fiorentina could win two Serie A TIM matches in a row for the first time this season. Juventus have won only one of their last five Serie A TIM away matches (D2 L2), after having won four of their previous five (L1). Juventus have scored the most goals following a cross in Serie A TIM this season (14), in addition, the Bianconeri have conceded only five goals from these situations, the joint-fewest in the division. In the reverse fixture against Fiorentina, ’s Juventus conceded more than two goals for the first time in all competitions; indeed, under Pirlo, they have never lost two games against the same opponent so far. Against Verona last time out, Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic scored his 16th league goals of the season - the last player to score 17+ goals in a single Serie A TIM campaign before turning 22 years old was Mirko Vucinic in 2004-05 for . Dusan Vlahovic has scored 16 goals in Serie A TIM this season, the last Fiorentina player to have scored more goals in a single top-flight campaign was in 2008-09 (19 goals). has scored three goals against Fiorentina in Serie A TIM – all of them coming from the penalty spot. Against no other Italian side has he netted more Serie A TIM goals via penalties (also three vs Genoa). 25/04/2021 15:00 - INTER Vs HELLAS VERONA Verona’s last Serie A TIM win against Inter was back in February 1992,a 1-0 victory thanks to Ezio Rossi’s strike – there have been 15 wins for the Nerazzurri and four draws since then. Inter are unbeaten in 29 Serie A TIM home games against Verona (W18 D11); they could set a new club record of games without a single home defeat against a particular opponent in the competition (currently level with , also 29 games with no defeat). Inter have won their last 12 Serie A TIM home matches; only once have they had a longer such run in the competition (13 in May 2011). Verona could equal their club record for most away wins in a single Serie A TIM campaign (currently five – D5 L6); only in 1984/85 and 2013/14 (both six) have they had more. Verona have lost their last three league games; they last lost four Serie A TIM matches in a row in May 2018 (seven). After a streak of 11 successes in a row, Inter haven’t won either of last two Serie A TIM games (D2); only once under have the Nerazzurri played three consecutive matches in the top-flight without winning, doing so in January 2020. (14) could become the fourth different Inter player to score 15+ home goals in a single Serie A TIM campaign in the last 45 years, after (19 in 2002/03), (17 in 2011/12) and (16 in 2016/17 and in 2017/18). Inter’s Achraf Hakimi (six goals, five assists) and Verona’s Federico Dimarco (four goals, three assists) are the two youngest defenders to have been directly involved in more than five goals in Serie A TIM this season. Inter’s Ivan Perisic has been directly involved in six goals (three goals, three assists) against Verona in Serie A TIM; against no team currently in the top-5 European Leagues has he had a hand in more top-flight league goals. Verona striker Nikola Kalinic scored his first Serie A TIM hat-trick against Inter at the Meazza in September 2015.

AS Roma have won five of their last seven Serie A TIM meetings against Cagliari (incl. a 3-0 awarded win), drawing the other two. Indeed, Cagliari’s last home win over them was back in February 2012 under Davide Ballardini. Cagliari have won two of their four home league matches under (L2), as many as they had won in 12 home games under . AS Roma have won just one of their last seven Serie A TIM away matches (D2 L4). Indeed, they have lost seven of their first 15 away league matches to a season for the first time since 2012/13 (incl. an awarded win against Verona). AS Roma have won only one of their last six Serie A TIM games (D2 L3); in this time, only Crotone have won fewer matches in the competition (zero). Cagliari's last seven goals at the Sardegna Arena in Serie A TIM have been scored by seven different scorers; on the other hand, AS Roma's last six away goals in the top flight have been netted by six different players. Cagliari’s João Pedro has scored five goals in his last three Serie A TIM appearances against AS Roma (his joint-most in the top flight). Cagliari’s João Pedro – currently on 14 goals - could become the first Brazilian player to net at least 15 goals in two consecutive Serie A TIM seasons since Kaká (2007/08 and 2008/09). AS Roma’s Edin Dzeko hasn’t found the net in any of his last 11 Serie A TIM appearances and could break his longest goalless drought in the top-five European Leagues (also 11 games in with Wolfsburg in 2008).

Bologna could remain unbeaten in both of their top-flight matches against Atalanta in a campaign for the first time since 2012/13 (W1 D1). Since 2014, Atalanta have kept a clean sheet in 50% of their Serie A TIM meetings with Bologna (6/12), failing to find the net only once in this time (0-3 defeat in 2015). Atalanta have won each of their last six Serie A TIM home games against Bologna; only against Livorno (eight between 1947 and 2014) have they had a longer home winning run against a single opponent in the competition. Bologna have failed to score in the more away matches in Serie A TIM in 2021 than any other side (five). Atalanta have picked up 43 points in Serie A TIM in 2021, a joint-high in this period, level with Inter. Atalanta have scored the most goals via substitutes in Serie A TIM this season with 14 such strikes, including 10 in home games. Only Juventus (10) have conceded fewer goals than Bologna (13) in the last 30 minutes of play in Serie A TIM matches this season. Josip Ilicic has scored more goals against Bologna than he has against any other team in Serie A TIM (seven); in addition, the Atalanta man has been directly involved in four goals in his last four league appearances against the Rossoblù (two goals, two assists). Lukasz Skorupski could become the first goalkeeper to play 100 Serie A TIM games for Bologna since the beginning of the last decade. Since then, Napoli have won seven times against them (D4). Torino drew 0-0 in their last home Serie A TIM game against Napoli (October 2019) - the Granata could remain unbeaten in back-to-back top-flight home games against this opponent for the first time since 2008 (five games - W2 D3). Since the beginning of 2018, Napoli have drawn four of their six Serie A TIM matches against Torino (W2); against no side have they drawn more games in this period (also four draws against AC Milan). Under , Torino have picked up an average of 1.4 points per league games, double that compared to their points on average under Marco Giampaolo (0.7). Under , Napoli have drawn only two of their 27 away Serie A TIM matches (W15 L10), a 7% ratio; only Bayern Munich (4%) have a lower percentage of draws in the top-five European leagues in this period (from 11/12/2019 – min. 20 away games played). Torino have scored 35% of their goals in the last 15 minutes of play this season (16/46), a competition-high ratio in Serie A TIM this term. 26/04/2021 20:45 - OLIMPICO LAZIO Vs MILAN AC Milan have won both of their last two Serie A TIM games against Lazio, their longest streak against \Biancocelesti\ since 2009 (run of three). Lazio have not kept a clean sheet against AC Milan in a Serie A TIM game since February 2012 (2-0 win). Since then, the Rossoneri have found the net in 17 such games in a row (1.8 goals per game on average). Last season, Lazio failed to score at home against AC Milan; they last failed to score against them in back-to-back matches at the Olimpico in 2007 (two 0-0 draws). Lazio have won each of their last nine home games in the top-flight; they could win 10 such games at home in a row for the third time in their Serie A TIM history, after 1937 and 1974. AC Milan have won 13 away Serie A TIM games this term; they could become the first team to win 14 of their first 16 games on the road in a single Serie A TIM season (currently the fastest team to reach 14 away wins was Inter – in 17 games in 2006/07). AC Milan have conceded the highest percentage of goals from corners in Serie A TIM this season (22%, 8/38). However, Lazio have scored the lowest such percentage in this season’s division (4%). Former Lazio coach has won both of his last two Serie A TIM games with AC Milan against \Biancocelesti\, as many wins as in his 13 previous clashes against this opponent in the competition (D4 L7). Lazio’s has scored six goals in 12 matches against AC Milan in Serie A TIM, including two goals in the two most recent such games. Indeed, he also scored a hat-trick against the Rossoneri at the Olimpico stadium in September 2017. AC Milan's Franck Kessié has scored three goals in six matches against Lazio in Serie A TIM; against no team has he netted more in the competition. AC Milan's Hakan Calhanoglu is close to scoring 50 goals in the top-five European leagues (currently 49) - only three Turkish players have reached this milestone since 2000: Mevlüt Erdinç (92), Nihat Kahveci (76) and Halil Altintop (67).
