AN ACT CREATING A BARANGA Y TO BE KNOWN AS BARANGA Y SOUTH SIGNAL VILLAGE IN THE CITY OF , METRO

Be it enacted by the Senate and House ofRepresentatives afthe Philippines in Congress assembled:

SECTION 1. Creation of South Signal Village. - South 2 Signal Village Proper in Barangay Signal Village. City of Taguig, Metro 3 Manila is hereby separated from Barangay Signal Village and constituted into 4 a distinct and independent barangay to be known as Barangay South Signal 5 Village. 6 SEC. 2. Territorial Boundaries. The territorial boundaries of 7 Barangay South Signal Village shall consist of pennanent natural hOlmdaries 8 identified as follows: 9 "Bounded on the North by Luzon Avenue, Espino Street, Callejon 10 Balleser Stree4 and Calle Cabasaan; II On the South and Southwest by Mabarlika Village, a creek, Barangay 12 Upper Bicutan Proclamation No. 172 Psd-013-002680; 13 On the East by NAPOCOR High Tension Line; and 14 On the West by F.T.l. Compound." 2

SEC. 3. Conduct and Supervision of Plebiscite. - The plebiscite 2 conducted and supervised by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in 3 Barangay Signal Village pursuant to City Ordinance No. 60, Series of 2008 of 4 the Sauggnniang Panlungsod of the City ofTaguig, which ratified the creation 5 of Barangay South Signal Village as proclaimed by the City Board of 6 Canvassers on December 28, 2008, shall serve as substantial compliance with 7 the plebiscite requirement under Section 10 of Republic Act No. 7160, as 8 amended, otherwise known as the "Local Government Code of 1991". 9 SEC. 4. Incumbent Barangay Officials. - The incumbent barangay IO officials of Barangay South Signal Village, City of Taguig shall continue to 11 hold office until such time that their successors have been duly elected and 12 qualified. 13 SEC, 5. Public Infrastructures and Facilities. - All existing public 14 infrastructures and facilities for public use existing therein at the time of the 15 approval of this Act are hereby transferred without cost or compensation to and 16 shall be administered by the new barangay. 17 SEC. 6. Internal Revenue Allotment Shares. - Barangay South Signal 18 Village shall be entitled to Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) shares pursuant 19 to Section 285 of Republic Act No. 7160, as amended. otherwise known as the 20 "Local Government Code ofI991". 21 SEC. 7. Separability Clause. - If, for any reason, any part or provision 22 of this Act is declared unconstitutional or invalid, the other parts or provisions 23 which are not affected thereby shall continue to be in full force and effect. 24 SEC. 8. Effictivity. - This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after 25 its publication in the Official Gazette or in any newspaper of general 26 circulation. Approved, o
