4 A look at Voice-over: This is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. London is the capital of the UK. And Greenwich is a part of London. Here you can see the Royal Naval College and some skyscrapers. And this is the '', a museum ship. The ship is about 150 years old. You can see it from above … … and here you can see the ship from below. The ‘Cutty Sark’ is located on the Thames riverfront, near the centre of Greenwich. ‘Cutty Sark' means 'a short shirt'. That's what the witch at the front of the ship is wearing. Next to the Cutty Sark you find the entrance to the Greenwich Foot Tunnel. You can walk through the tunnel, underneath the , over to the . You can also visit Greenwich Market. People buy all kinds of things here. This is and the Royal Observatory. Greenwich Mean Time, or ‘GMT’, starts here. This is the 24-hour clock. When it’s 12 o’clock in Greenwich, it’s one o’clock in the afternoon in Germany. And this is the O2 Arena. Big stars come here to play concerts. If you like animals, you can visit Mudchute Farm, just across the Thames from Greenwich. It’s a city farm. They've got donkeys, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, llamas and more sheep.
