Greetings from Los Angeles

Hey Anastasia!

This is Arjun, from NYO (we met last month at Carnegie Hall). Our tour just ended officially today after our eighth and final stop in Los Angeles, CA. We’ve seen some amazing sights this past month, and I think the tour could not have been better. I remember from our meeting that you really enjoyed the Symphonic Dances from West Side Story. West Side Story was incredible yesterday. At the part where the violas and second violins have the theme from “Somewhere,” I was in tears. I’ve never cried because of music before, but because of the incredibly sad meaning of “Somewhere” in West Side Story, and the fact that this was our last concert, I could not help but be overwhelmed by emotion. The suite is so emotional and beautiful and was an absolute joy to play. I hope you are still interested in learning violin. It is incredibly rewarding, and I really think you would love it.

I’m very glad to have gotten the chance to meet you, and I wish you only the best.

Sincerely, Arjun
