Africa WHERE DREAMS TAKE ROOT. .. AND GROW. 3 ATHLETIC FACILITIES TENNIS FACILITIES SADLER COURTS Morehead State's Sadler Cou1ts are the home venue for the MSU tennis teams. T11ere are six lighted courts for competition and six additional lighted practice courts. Restroom faci li ties, as well as ample bleacher seating for fa ns. are also part of the Sadler Courts faci lity. WELLNESS CENTER INDOOR COURTS The MSU tennis teams also utilize the Wellness Center Indoor Courts for practices and matches. The center has three courts in excellent condition. WELLNESS CENTER TRAINING ROOM In addition to the indoor courts, the MSU tennis teams train In the Wellness Center, which was recently updatecl and expanded as part of MSU's athletic facilities master plan. 4 TENNIS MEDIA GUIDE 2009 www. msueagl es .c om COACHING STAFF Kevin Fu lton, a native of nearby Maysville, is in his fourth year as head men's and women's tennis coach at Morehead State. In his first three seasons, Fulton produced successful results with botl1 the men 's and women's teams and now has t11e full complement of student­ athletes to build a successful program at MSU. Fulton, who came to Morehead State after a two-year appointment as head men's coach at Indiana University Southeast, was a two­ time KIAC Coach of the Year and led U1e IU-Southeast men to an NAIA top 25 ranking in 2005. His team produced a 32-18 overall record while he was in charge after going just 6-9 in 2003. In addition, he coached six all­ conference players and two All-Americans in 2005. Fulton mentored Sabastian Aspillaga to tl1e ITA Midwest Region singles and doubles championships in 2004. In 2005, Indiana Southeast advanced to U1e six Junior college Al l-Americans and helped the finals of the Region 12 tournament after never school produce a 64-13 overall record . winning a single regional match in the history Before coming to Morehead, Fulton served as a of the school. Johnson was nationally and regionally ranked all four years at U of L, starting with a no. 90 ITA singles ranking as a freshman and moving all the way up to as high as 38th in the preseason singles rankings before l1is senior season. Johnson posted more than 70 singles victories In his career and compiled close to 100 doubles Johnson was also named as a Big EastAcademic victories. He, along with Slavko Radman, were All-Star following, his junior and senior seasons ranked as high as 26th in t11e ITA preseason and earned a spot on the Louisville Athletic doubles poll before his senior

Simmons, Hill Selected for U14 National Training Camp July 2009 Lydia Simmons (Londonderry, NH) and Rachel Hill (Rollinsford, NH) were selected to attend the U-14 Girls National Team Training Camp to take place at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA at the end of August. Simmons and Hill were two of the 36 players selected from a pool of the nation’s top 101 players at the U-14 age level. These players trained with select National Staff Coaches at the National Development Program U-14 Girls’ Identification Camp in Pomona, CA the week of July 28th. WMUR Hometown Heroes: Londonderry Trio September 26, 2009 Seniors Kelley Griffin, Tori McCombs, and Freshman Lydia Simmons were featured in WMUR’s "Hometown Heroes" spotlight. College: SUSC Keepers In Action October 10, 2009 On Saturday October 10th, Providence College played host to #24 Notre Dame in NCAA Division I Big East Conference Men’s Soccer action.     2009 NEWS ARCHIVE U17 Boys Head to Region I Premier Playoffs May 2009 The Seacoast United Maine U17 Boys are headed to Kirkwood DE May 9-10, 2009 to play in the Region I Premier League Playoffs. The Thunder finished 2nd in the league's North Division and will play Lower Marion Velez PA who finished 1st in the Southern Division. The other semi-final is Commack NY (1st place, North Division) vs. YMS Explosion PA (2nd place, Southern Division). Winners and losers play Sunday in a final and consolation game. Seacoast Maine reached the playoffs by winning their final four games to move one point ahead of Beachside in the standings. They started with a tie vs. NE Eagles 1-1, followed by a 1-0 loss to Commack NY and a 1-1 tie with Massapequa on their NY trip early April. The next weekend the Thunder beat Beachside 2-1. The last weekend of league play they had to win both games to move past Beachside and did so by beating Lynnbrook NY 2-1 with a goal in extra time. Seacoast Maine then went on to defeat the Manhattan Phoenix 2-0 with two second half goals.
