JOHN GRIFFIN Head Coach • 5th season • 43-25-10 overall record Head Coach John Griffin, the winningest coach in the Coach of the Year accolades. U.S. SPORTS ACADEMY/NACDA DIRECTORS' CUP STANDINGS The Directors' Cup is the first-ever cross-sectional all-sports national recognition award for both men and women. It honors institutions maintaining a broad-based program, achieving success in many sports, both men's and women's. The program was started by NACDA and USA Today in 1993-94 for Division I and was expanded in 1995-96 to include Division II, III and the NAIA. Each institution is awarded points in a pre-determined num- ber of sports for men and women. The overall champion is the institution that records the highest number of points in their division's U.S. Sports Academy Directors' Cup standings.

Throughout its rich history of intercollegiate athletics, the University of Greyhound football teams remained in the Heartland Collegiate Conference from Indianapolis has been a member of a number of athletic conferences. Known as 1978 until 1990 when UIndy became a charter member of the Midwest Indiana Central until 1985, the institution was a highly successful member of the Intercollegiate Football Conference (MIFC). Formed as a football only conference, Hoosier College Conference (HCC) from the 1940s through 1970. With its move the MIFC incorporated teams from the HCC and the Great Lakes Intercollegiate to the NCAA from the NAIA, the university participated in the Indiana Collegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
