It is situated on 43 acres along the Delaware River Brandywine Battlefield, Chadds Ford in picturesque Bucks County. Originally built in 1682, the estate closely reflects the 40 acres Bushy Run Battlefield, Jeannette Penn himself had cleared. Today, Pennsbury Conrad Weiser Homestead, Womelsdorf Manor is administered by the Pennsylvania Cornwall Iron Furnace, Cornwall Historical and Museum Commission with the Pennsbury Society, a non-profit 501(c)(3) Daniel Boone Homestead, Birdsboro organization. Through tours, exhibits, workshops, Drake Well Museum, Titusville and educational programs, Pennsbury shares the 17th century and the life of William Penn with Eckley Miners’ Village, Weatherly more than 30,000 visitors each year.
