The Little Rock Civitan Club and Onebanc proudly present the 2007 Little Rock Parks Photo Contest “Showcasing the Beauty and Diversity of Little Rock Parks”

The purpose of this contest is to celebrate the beauty and diversity of the 54 developed Little Rock city parks, which include 12 large, 14 medium-sized and 28 small parks. It is a joint project of the Little Rock Civitan Club, Onebanc and Little Rock Parks and Recreation to benefit our community. Contest proceeds will go to support Little Rock Civitan Club community projects and the Little Rock Parks and Recreation (Park of the Month Project). Take it outside, have fun, support our parks, and win fabulous prizes!

Photo Contest Rules:

Entry deadline: The deadline for receipt of entries at Onebanc at 4520 Markham St., Little Rock, AR 72205, is Nov. 1, 2007. Winners will be announced and notified November 9, 2007.

Trio of Photos/Entry Fee. The contest is open to all photographers. Entrants may enter as many times as they wish, but each entry must consist of a set of 3 color photos including 1 photo each of an identified small, medium and large-sized Little Rock city park (but not to include the Zoo) from the attached list of parks. Each set of 3 photos must be accompanied by a $10 entry fee. A label must be attached to the back of each of the 3 photos giving (1) the name of the photographer, (2) name of the park, (3) photographer’s address and telephone number. Do not write directly on the front or back of photos. Photos submitted instead on a CD-ROM must be accompanied by a sheet of paper with the same information, clearly specifying which park is shown in each photo.

Subject Matter/Judging: Each photo must show a recognizable portion of the park identified. Some aspect of the park must figure significantly in the photograph although an area outside the park may appear in it. After entry, the trios of photos will be separated and all photos of small parks will be judged against each other, medium-sized parks judged against each other, and large parks judged against each other. Photos will be judged by a panel of independent judges not employed by the Little Rock Civitan Club, Onebanc, or the City of Little Rock. Entries will be judged on compliance with contest rules, overall photo quality and expression of the beauty or attractiveness in the particular park. The decision of the judges shall be final.

Format and Submission of Entries: Photos must have been taken by the entrant in 2007. Entries must be submitted in print format, not matted or framed (each photo minimum 8”x10”, maximum 11”x14”) or on a CD-ROM (minimum 8”x10” at 240 dpi, .jpeg format only). Submit entry fee and completed entry form with trio of photos. Images containing recognizable persons must also include a signed and dated model release form. Entrant must hold all rights to each photo entered. Photos must not infringe on another person’s copyright. By submitting a trio of photos with a signed entry form, the entrant agrees to the contest rules. Photos may be cropped. Minor adjustments, including spotting, dodging and burning, contrast and slight color adjustment or their digital equivalents, are allowed. Submit entries by mail or in person to Onebanc, 4520 West Markham St., Little Rock, AR 72205 (across from UAMS).

Winners/Prizes: An entrant may not win more than two places in the contest. Prizes are not redeemable in cash. No substitutions for prizes will be made at the request of winning entrants. Contest organizers retain the rights, in their sole and absolute discretion, to make substitutions of equivalent kind or approximate value in the event of the unavailability of a prize or component of a prize. The City of Little Rock, Little Rock Civitan Club, Onebanc, other contest sponsors and prize donors accept no responsibility for lost or misdirected entries. - More - Best in Show - $100 Bedford Camera and Video Gift Certificate $100 Series EE Savings Bond 4-month pass to Rebsamen Tennis Center (value $75) Weekend Getaway in the City Package (total value $375) 1 night stay for two at Courtyard by Marriott Dinner for two at Sonny Williams Steak Room Boulevard Bread Company (River Market) Gift Certificate Tickets for two to Clinton Presidential Library Gift certificate to Clinton Museum Store
