Welcome to Saint Barnabas Church Founded in 1869, Saint Barnabas is a parish of the Ordinariate of the Chair of . The Ordinariate was established in 2012 by Benedict XVI in order to preserve elements of the Anglican tradition within the . The parish entered the Catholic Church in 2013. is celebrated using , the Vatican- promulgated also known as the Ordinariate or Anglican Use . All Catholics may fulfill their Mass obligation on Sundays and holydays at Saint Barnabas. Catholics in full with the of Rome may receive Holy Communion at our Masses.  ADVENT EVENINGS OF RECOLLECTION The Immaculate Conception/Saint Barnabas Council of the is sponsoring three "Evenings of Reflection" on the Fridays of Advent. The first is Friday, December 4 at Immaculate Conception, with Solemn Mass and Benediction at 7:00 pm. The other two evenings will be at Saint Barnabas on Friday, December 11 and December 18, at 6:30 pm. The program at Saint Barnabas will consist of Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, followed by Adoration, Confessions, a meditation by Father Michael Gutgsell, and Benediction. This will replace the usual Friday on those days.

 WOMEN'S STUDY GROUP Women of the parish and friends are invited to a study entitled "Saint Edith Stein: Seeker of Truth," from Endow, which will meet on Saturday mornings at 9:30 at the parish house, for 8 to 10 weeks beginning this Saturday, December 5.

 IMMACULATE CONCEPTION DECEMBER 8 Tuesday, December 8 is the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. This is a , and the Patronal Feast for the United States. In addition to the 11:15 am, there will be a Solemn Mass at 7:00 pm, followed by a reception.

 OPPORTUNITIES FOR GIVING Altar flowers give glory to God by adding beauty and dignity to the church for the celebration of Holy Mass. When given in memory of someone, they also remind us of the blessings of life and memories of departed loved ones. Suggested donations are as follows: lamps are $5, flowers at the Lady Shrine are $25, flowers at High Altar are $50. Mass intentions are also available for most dates through the end of the year. Having the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass celebrated for the intention of someone (either living or dead) or for a special intention is the highest form of prayer the Church has to offer.  REMINDER ABOUT MASKS A reminder about compliance with Omaha's ordinance requiring face covering in public buildings: the mandate has been extended to February 23, 2021, and it includes churches. For the sake of your fellow worshippers, please wear a mask while you are in the building following the guidelines from the city. This is a small price to pay in order to be able to worship in church during the ongoing pandemic.
