SCHEDULE NOTES

• The November 25 opener vs. the College of Charleston is the latest season opener since UNC beat Texas in Chapel Hill on Nov. 26, 1994. • Carolina is 20-3 in the Maui Invitational, including 2-0 in games played in Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels have won four Maui titles. • Carolina is playing in Asheville for the first time since Nov. 13, 2011 when it defeated UNC Asheville in the first game in UNCA’s . • The Tar Heels play at Iowa for the first time since 1989. UNC is 10-11 in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge (10-7 under head coach Roy Williams). • Carolina is 4-2 in the CBS Sports Classic. This is the first time the Classic is being played in Cleveland. UNC is 2-0 vs. Ohio State in this event. • This is Carolina’s first game in Cleveland since defeating Cleveland State on Nov. 29, 2003, and its first game ever in Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. • Carolina opens ACC play vs. NC State for the first time since 2005-06. It is the first time UNC and NC State are scheduled to play in November or December since meeting in the in Greensboro on Nov. 30, 1979. • Carolina plays two ACC road games to start league play for the third time in the last five seasons (2016-17, 2018-19 and 2020-21). • The Tar Heels are 4-1 in ACC Tournament games in Washington, D.C. (3-0 and won the championship in 2016; 1-1 in 2005).
