KEY FIGURES FROM JUNE OCTOBER 2018 AL HUDAYDAH HUB On 5th of October, A woman was killed and a number of 70,889 residents of Bani Jaber IDP hos�ng site in Al Khawkhah district were severely wounded including eight children in a shelling incident. The FAMILIES DISPLACED wounded civilians are being treated in a field hospital in Al Mukha district in Taizz governorate. Another incident resulted in killing of 15 civilians and injury of 20 others while they were traveling using minibus in Jabal 27,684 Ra's district on 13th of October 2018. The injured people were taken to Zabid and Bayt Al Faqiah hospitals for treatment. The humanitarian com- FAMILIES ASSISTED munity condemned the a�acks and extended deepest condolences to the families of the vic�ms. “Under interna�onal humanitarian law, par�es to the conflict are obliged to respect the principles of precau�on, AL HUDAYDAH HUB propor�onality and dis�nc�on. Transfer of cash assistance for rental subsidies completed by IOM for 488 IDP families in out of 520 families while the remaining 32 families will be assisted a�er ge�ng the necessary iden�fi- 28,084 Families Displaced ca�on documenta�on. The families without iden�fica�on documents 17,615 Assisted were referred to the Protec�on Cluster. Families provided with the cash grants were able to pay the rental payment in houses providing them with safety and protec�on from the elements, health risks and other SANA’A HUB factors that could increase their vulnerabili�es. NFI distribu�on started by UNHCR through JAADH (Jeel Albena Associa�on for Humanitarian 10% Development) for 1,853 families and EESKs (Enhanced Emergency Shel- ter Kits) for 931 families in Al Mansuriyah district. The distribu�on is targe�ng vulnerable newly displaced families who found to be in cri�cal need for NFIs and shelter assistance. NRC distributed NFIs to 320 IDP 32,676 Families Displaced families in Qafl Shamer district, governorate. The kits enabled the 3,374 Assisted families to have access to the essen�al household items and temporary shelter un�l they find a longer term solu�on.

ADEN HUB ADEN HUB 96% Security situa�on in Aden hub remained vola�le with increased security deployments as tensions arise between poli�cal par�es. The situa�on had nega�ve impact on the Cluster Partners response as their movements were restricted resul�ng in the decrease of 4,266 Families Displaced humanitarian ac�vi�es on the ground. 4,111 Assisted NFI distribu�on completed by UNHCR through NMO (Nahdah Makers Organiza�on) for 1,083 families / 5,497 individuals in Al Mukha district (Taizz), 35 families / 245 individuals residing in the Voca�onal Training IBB / TAIZZ HUB Ins�tute in Foqum area, Al Buraiqeh district and 15 families / 105 individ- uals residing in Al Mahariq area, Ash Shaikh Outhman district (Aden). The NFIs provided the families the most personal human needs for shelter 44% from the climate and the maintenance of health, privacy and dignity.
