Cultivated Land Quantity Niche Regulation and Its Environmental Effect Trans. Nonferrous Met. Soc. China 21(2011) s699-s705 Cultivated land quantity niche regulation and its environmental effect NIU Haipeng, FANG Guoyou, GAO Hanqi, SONG Jianrui School of Surveying and Land Information Engineering, Henan Polytechnic University, Jiaozuo 454000, China Received 19 June 2011; accepted 10 November 2011 Abstract: The change in the quantity of cultivated land influences the structure, function and evolvement of ecosystem. The rational change in the quantity of cultivated land will be propitious to ecological security and sustainable development, and irrational change will deteriorate ecological environment. The concept of cultivated land quantity niche regulation was firstly put forward based on niche theory and the actionfeedback mechanism between cultivated land quantity niche and cultivated land benefit niche. Then, the regulation measures of cultivated land quantity niche were brought forward in rural−urban area, agro−forest area and consolidationreclamationexploitation area. Finally, the ecological environmental effect after regulation was analyzed. The results show that different measures should be taken to regulate cultivated land quantity niche in different areas. The economic and social benefit niche of cultivated land should be promoted to regulate cultivated land quantity niche in rural−urban area and consolidation−reclamation−exploitation area. The social benefit niche of cultivated land should be reduced in agro−forest area. The regulation goal of cultivated land quantity niche will be attained by different measures. Key words: niche theory; cultivated land quantity niche regulation; land reclamation; environmental effect transformation, energy conversion and information 1 Introduction processing in natural−economic−social multiple ecosystem. It can be every biological tissue level (such Cultivated land is a natural−economic−social as genes, cells, organs, landscape, ecosystem, biosphere, multiple ecosystem. Traditional methods cannot solve (such as business, farmers, industry, farming systems, the complex problems effectively. Some ecology theories planting patterns, economic entities, etc). Based on these, and methods such as niche theory are proper means for the concept of ecounit niche was put forward by LIU, cultivated land researches. Niche theory is an important which offered a theoretical foundation of niche theory theory of ecology, which can measure the frames of using in resources utilization, assessment and ecological continuous change process in cultivated land ecological protection [9]. relations. It can clearly reflect the succession and Cultivated land ecosystem is a special ecological development of cultivated land ecosystem [1−2]. So, the form, and it is between natural ecosystems (such as niche theory has an important theoretical and practical grassland and forest ecosystems) and artificial value. ecosystems (such as urban ecosystem). In essence, the The concept and content of niche have gone through regional land ecosystem is a natural−economic−social a long term development process. Among them, spatial multiple ecosystem. It is a kind of function unit of niche or habitat niche, nutrition niche or functional niche, ecological processes in material and energy conversion and supersize niche which were put forward by and information processing, which has general GRINNEL, ELTON and HUTCHINSON, are the most characteristics of the ecounit. Therefore, the cultivated famous theories of niche theory [3−5]. Then, some land ecosystem is a special kind of ecounit, named ecologists make further researches in niche theory [6−8]. cultivated land ecounit. Niche competition models including cultivated land niche, expansion− refers to expansion or compression phenomenon of niche reduction degree, niche quotient and quantity niche in competing space and environment resources between barycenter were constructed, which can provide new two ecounits with similar requirement of theory and ways for the study on the change in the ecoenvironment. When competition between cultivated quantity and quality of cultivated land [11−12]. Then, land ecounit and other land use patterns exists, NIU and ZHANG [13] put forward the comprehensive ecoenvironmental conditions, policies and resources benefit niche driving forces system and mathematical suitability regulation, should be changed to ensure models according to the coupling relationship between reasonable expansion or compression of the quantity quantity niche and benefit niche of cultivated land, and cultivated land niche. This leds to a tremendous threat to human life and property safety. Jiaozuo City, the main types of geological disasters, landslides, ground subsidence, debris flow and ground fissures. It has great significance to the development of the city and the protection of people's life and property to explore the hidden dangers of geological disasters and actively take preventive and control measures. The establishment of geological hazard group measurement system of prevention and control to achieve the timely detection of geological disasters, rapid early warning and effective avoidance. Key words: geological disasters, types of geological disasters, prevention and control measures, group measurement and prevention system, Jiaozuo City I. Introduction Geological disasters refer to the geo-environment of the surface layer of the Earth's lithospheric crust, which is aggravated by natural action, man-made action or both, which endangers human life and property safety or destroys the ecological environment, and is referred to as geological disasters event 【1】.Geological changes in the environment is the key cause of geological disasters.
