Network Rail's Publications Manager compiles the Safety Notices and Sections `C' and `D' where, together with Sections `A' and `B', they form the WON. The `calendar' below highlights the submission deadlines, for Safety Notices and Section `C' and `D' items for inclusion in WON's 12 ± 17. For example items required for inclusion in WON (week) 16 must be submitted to the Publications Manager by Monday 22 June 2015. If items are received for inclusion in specific WONs after the `submitted by' date they will be deemed to have missed the publication deadline for the WON they were submitted for. This may have a significant impact on any works the item is related to given that no work may proceed without an appropriate notice first being published in the WON. In all such circumstances the individual submitting the notice must approach the Publications Manager to establish the first available WON the item can be published in thereafter. Week Week commencing Week ending Item to be submitted by 12 Sat 13/06/2015 Fri 19/06/2015 Mon 25/05/2015 13 Sat 20/06/2015 Fri 26/06/2015 Mon 01/06/2015 14 Sat 27/06/2015 Fri 03/07/2015 Mon 08/06/2015 15 Sat 04/07/2015 Fri 10/07/2015 Mon 15/06/2015 16 Sat 11/07/2015 Fri 17/07/2015 Mon 22/06/2015 17 Sat 18/07/2015 Fri 24/07/2015 Mon 29/06/2015 All submissions must be made using Section C and/or D electronic online forms in accordance with the Section C and D Submission Guide. The Submission Guide and Electronic Forms can be found following the link below:- Where those seeking to submit notices identify in advance that their submission may be out with the `submitted by' date they should contact the Publications Manager to discuss the circumstances and clarify the first available WON their item(s) could be published in. It is the responsibility of the `proposer' to ensure that all required information is provided with the submission. Network Rail's Publications Manager reserves the right to refuse any late, inaccurate or incomplete submission. Safety Energisation (Flash) Notices are required to be published in the Periodical Operating Notice (PON) for four weeks prior to the date of energisation (see Group Standard GM/RT1041). The PON is published quarterly and has an effective commencement date of the first Saturday of March, June, September and December. The PON goes to press at least three weeks before the effective date. Therefore Energisation Notices must reach Network Rail's Publications Manager at least eight to twenty weeks (dependent on dates) prior to energisation.
