SECTION 0100 NOTICE TO BIDDERS DOUG SHAW STADIUM IMPROVEMENTS MYRTLE BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA Owner: CITY OF MYRTLE BEACH Post Office Drawer 2468 Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 29578 Engineer: CHA Consulting, Inc. 110 Traders Cross, Suite 201 Bluffton, South Carolina 29909 Date: December 1, 2016 The City of Myrtle Beach will be receiving bids for construction of improvements to Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium. The bid opening is Friday, December 23, 2016 at 1:00pm at the City of Myrtle Beach Public Works Administration Building’s conference room which is located at 3210 10th Avenue Extension North in Myrtle Beach. There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 2:00pm at the project site located at 705 33rd Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, SC. The Project consists of improvements to the existing Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium consisting of construction of a new press box, new home and visitor side support buildings, expanded visitor side bleacher seating, replacement of aluminum home side bleacher seats, new entry plaza and walks, new track sprint chutes and replacement of the existing synthetic turf football field. Bidders shall comply with the requirements set forth in Section 0200 - Instruction to Bidders. A CD containing Construction Documents (in .pdf format) may also be obtained from Duncan Parnell. Questions should be submitted three (3) days prior to bid date. All interpretations, clarifications, or changes will be made in the form of a written addenda. See 3.04.D., page 0200-4. Refer to other bidding requirements described in Document 0200 - Instructions to Bidders. Bidders are required to submit their bid on the Bid Form provided. Bidders may not supplement this form unless otherwise directed. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Lowest bid may not prevail. Award of the bid will be based on the bid prices, references, past performance of bidder and any proposed subcontractor with projects of comparable scope, complexity, and time constraints.
