Camps 1, 2, 3 and 4, used by DofE Silver and Gold groups. Charges are made for the first 3 camp sites. 1. Milarrochy Camp Site (Camping and Caravan Club) GR406900 Booking Essential – for Staff and Groups – a base for staff and expedition starting point. All facilities. Inchcailloch – (National Park Approved Camp site) – GR406900 Booking essential – for Groups – compostable toilet, no fresh water supply. Grass. (£5 per person aged up to 17 years). Spot the deer! Sallochy Bay – (Forestry Commission camp site), GR379958 Booking essential for Groups – compostable toilet, fresh water supply, washing up facilities – (Grassed Compound or shore line tent spaces. Site shared with public campers. Tel. 01360870142 4. From June 2018 –Lochan Maoil Dhuinne – GR 364974 - National Park Permit required – free to DofE – wild camp no facilities – 01389722001 Sandy beaches with views south and north – grass under trees. A1 When planning a wild camp site have an alternative in mind as the site may already be occupied. 5. Opposite shore from Tarbet – Group - wild – GR 337038 – grass. 6. Opposite shore from Tarbet – Staff – wild – GR 337047 or GR 339049 – pine wood. 7. North of Island I Vow – Group – GR 333134 – wild – grass. 8. Inchmoan – Group GR 377908 – wild – sand dunes and some grass. 9. Inchmoan – Staff – 381910 – wild – grass – (frequently used) 10. Inchtavannach – Group – GR366915 – wild - grass (occasionally used) 11. Inchconachan- Capercaillie nesting site – respect NP notices – and inquisitive Wallabies – not recommended for camping except emergency! 12. Ellanderroch – GR 395904 possible small group/sheltered yacht mooring. Notes: Wild camping is banned on Ross Point and in Ross Wood GR368956 Inchcruin, Inchmurrin – private – avoid, Creinch – nature reserve avoid Inchfad – private but in an emergency the owner does not mind groups camping wild on the north shore as long as they do not come inland!
