If You Give a Kindergartener a Cookie by Miss Smits‟ Kindergarten Class

If you give a Kindergartener a cookie, they‟ll probably blow up. If they blow up, they will go wild! If they go wild, the teacher will probably throw bubble gum in their faces. If the teacher throws bubble gum in their faces, the kids will probably throw it everywhere in the room. If the kids throw it everywhere in the room, they will SCREAM! If they scream, Mr. Laughlin will come in and throw suckers. If Mr. Laughlin throws suckers, the kids will eat them. If the kids eat the suckers, they will give Mr. Laughlin a cookie and a hug!

By Blakely Berendes

4/5/2011

On April 5th, 2011 there was a bat in my house. My brother thought it was a bird. He yelled, “Bird, bird, bird!”

I went to and told my Mom that there was a bird in our house. She said, “Oh great”. Then I went back upstairs and watched it run into 100 things. Then it hit the curtain and I looked over and noticed it was a bat!

Then I screamed, “It‟s a bat! It‟s a bat!”

Mom screamed, “It‟s a bat!”

“Then come and look!” I said.

“It better not bite me”, Mom said.

“God will keep us safe”. I said.

Then we went upstairs. It was in the dining room. We were all screaming. We all ran into the bathroom and Mom put on Facebook. “The kids and I are locked in the bathroom and there is a bat flying around the house, any suggestions what I should do?”

Then someone wrote back, “Grab a sharp stake and stab it in the heart or else it would turn into Kiefer Sutherland. Then you‟ll have to call Brothers.”

Mom and I laughed. It was so funny. Mom got a kick out of it. Then Mom grabbed a bucket and tried to catch it, but she just couldn‟t catch it! Then someone came to help armed with tennis rackets and got the bat out of the house. Mom and I were so happy. Mom said, “My heroes.” I‟ll never, ever forget that night.

So then he moved into a shoe by a pond that had alligators in it. Then he started to not like the smell of the alligator‟s scat. So he tried living back at the Elf Hills, but the elves kicked him out again. So, he was just about to jump into the pond with the alligators. But then another ugly elf came and wanted to be friends with him and they lived happily ever after.

I was so happy when I started a new school. But when I got in I was very shy. I did not want my Mom and Dad to leave, but they had to. I almost cried, I was so sad. Then people came in. They said, “The new girl‟s here.” I did not even talk for a while. Then my teacher said, “Do you mind if they ask you a couple of questions?” I said, “Sure.” So, they did. I kind of felt better. I talked finally. I was happy. I was not shy any more. So, I answered the questions. I do not want to go home. I will never go home. I am stuck in school. I was happy. I was so happy! I already made a new friend.

I went to the YMCA on the weekend, it was so fun. Elise and Kyla went, too. Elise splashed water in Kaden‟s face. Kyla, Elise and I all splashed water in Kaden‟s face. We did a lot of stuff. Elise got under the bucket. The water got in her face. The bucket fills up with water. And when it‟s filled, it dumps. I don‟t know how to swim. So I had to wear a life vest. I could float. Isn‟t that cool? I can‟t wait until I can go again. There is more than just the bucket. There‟s a thing that sprays out water. Elise said it was a cage. It looks like a cage. I love the YMCA!

Family Fun Night

By Jenna Klyn

April 5, 2011

Last Friday, it was Family Fun Night. My friend, Kadee, got to come with me. She rode the bus home with me. When we got to the bus line, she looked nervous. She had never ridden the bus except for going on a field trip or going to track. So, wouldn‟t you be nervous, too? I had to tell her to get off at the first stop because that‟s when I get off. I kept on telling her that she would be fine. I had to hold her hand until we got on the bus.

When we got off the bus, I pointed to my house to show her where I lived. She said, “That‟s a big house!” Then we started to walk home.

The first thing that we did was run up to my room. She thought my room was cool. Then we started jumping on my bed for a long time. After that, we went downstairs to play the Wii. Then we played house and then Barbie dolls. We laughed a lot.

“I wish that you could spend the night,” I said to Kadee.

She said, “I wish I could, too.”

Then I said, “Do you want to butt race?” She looked puzzled.

Then she asked, “What‟s that?”

I said, “I‟ll show you.” I ran to the top of the stairs, sat down, and started sliding down.

She yelled, “Wow! That looks like fun!” Then she tried it, too. She laughed. Then we kept on doing it together. I won every time.

Then my mom yelled, “Suppertime!”

I asked, “What are we having?” She said, “Chicken.” And it turns out that Kadee loves chicken a lot. After we were done talking, we sat down to eat. Kadee and I laughed while we were eating.

After we were done eating, my mom took Kadee and I to Family Fun Night. We talked all the way there. When we got there, the first thing we did was play Bean Bag Toss. We loved it. We kept on doing it until we finally got tired. We did it seven times in a row. Then we did bowling for a little bit. Then we got our faces painted. I got a tiger and a heart. Kadee got a tiger and a peace sign. Then we saw Kadee‟s mom, her big sister, and her little brother. After that, we got some popcorn and I ate a bunch of chocolate. Then we got a drink of water. Finally, Kadee had to go home with her mom. So we hugged and said bye.

Then at night when everyone is asleep, he comes to your house and hides your eggs that you painted. Then he gives you a basket of candy and some other things. The basket has your name on it. Then he goes to the next house. I love Easter! Wow!

When They Stole my Dad’s Van

By Yovanni Ramos

4-6-11

I don‟t know why they stole my dad‟s van. My dad went to the police station so the cops could find who stole my dad‟s van. My dad told the cops what color his van was. But, it‟s been lots of days since they stole my dad‟s van. They stole my dad‟s van lots of months ago. They stole my dad‟s van on December 31, 2010. He has still not gotten back his van. I wonder when he‟s going to get his van back. He may get it back next year or July 5, 2011 or November 11, 2011. But when will he get his van back? Probably he will never get it back. I hope he gets it soon because my brother and I left a game in the van and I liked that game. That game was called Goosebumps Horrorland. That game was fun. So I don‟t know why they stole my dad‟s van. If they hadn‟t stolen my dad‟s van, right now my brother and I would still have that game. I feel bad that they stole my dad‟s van. I hope he gets his van back so my dad can be happy. That‟s the van my dad likes so much. That is the van my dad always rides to go to work. Now he has to ride the car to work.

Letter to Dr. Ellen Ochoa,

NASA Astronaut

By Maci Graber

Dear Dr. Ellen Ochoa,

Hello! My class is studying space in science. It is all we are talking about! I love science! I read the book, Exploring Space by Toni Eugene. How did you feel when you were on the space shuttle in space? I would love to go up into space! Almost every night I look up in the sky and it is covered with stars. I think that you are doing lots of important things.

From,

Maci Graber

Animals In Winter

By Cael Schmadeke

Today, Deb Karwal came to teach us about animals in winter. We felt the skins of coyote and snakes. We heard the sounds of birds. We saw the shells of turtles. We felt the backbone of a turtle. We saw deer antlers and did you know that deer antlers fall off in the winter? I learned that bears sleep all winter.

I also learned that beavers eat wood from trees. Coyotes love to eat rabbits when they are hungry!

Little House on the Prairie

By Hunter Davies

This story is about a family that needs to get across the Mississippi River in a covered wagon. They take off and Jack, the bulldog, gets lost in the river. They find Jack and everyone is happy. Jack fell asleep under the wagon. A star blinks at Laura. Pa needs to cut logs to build his house. Ma hurts her leg. Pa met Mr. Edwards and he helped build their house. Pa ran into fifty wolves, and Pet had a baby colt, named Bunny. The Rain Forest Habitat

By Faith Ogletree

I am reading Rain Forest by Helen Cowcher. I also watched a movie about the rain forest. Did you know that jaguars live in the rain forest? They roar as loud as they can! I love jaguars! It rains almost every day in the rain forest. Rain forests are full of animals and many trees. There are colorful birds there like toucans and macaws. Monkeys live in the forest canopy. The canopy is in the tops of the trees. Howler monkeys really do howl! They screech warnings to other monkeys and they can be heard from miles away.

This book has beautiful colors in it! I think rain forests are cool!

The Legend of the Indian Paintbrush

A Book Report by Kennedy Lamb

This story is about Little Gopher, a boy who lives with his family and his tribe. Little Gopher is a Native American Indian. He is the smallest boy and does not want to go and hunt with the other boys. He is looking for the colors of the sunset so he can paint on the white deerskin canvas. He found the colors that he needed to paint the sunset. Snakes

By Nate Ernst

I have been reading and learning about snakes. Did you know that most snakes do not move much? Snakes move fast in the water. The fastest snake is the African black mamba. Snakes live by old farms and dumps so they can find the food they need. Snakes like to eat rats and mice. The speed that rattlesnakes move is one mile per hour. Sidewinder rattlesnakes are found in American deserts.

Little House on the Prairie

A book report by Eva Sherman

This story is taking place in 1874. The main characters are Ma, Pa, Mary, Laura, and Baby Carrie. The character that I like is Mary. The wagon jolted around a lot. They were crossing the river and they lost Jack, their dog. Everyone was sad. Pa got Pet and Patty up the hill and the horses were okay. Laura was very, very sad that Jack was gone. Then, they found Jack. They thought he was a wolf. Jack got under the wagon and the stars were out. Then, Pa saw fifty wolves and had to gallop very, very, very fast to get back home with those fifty wolves following him. Their horse, Patty, had a baby called Bunny. Pa found a family that was sick and needed help. He helped them. Our Science and Nature Day

By Bryan Erp

Today we went on a field trip to Anderson Conservation. I observed birds, leaves, and I saw a turtle. I also saw a bird. I liked learning about the food web. I also liked the hike. I got to pet the cat. I also like to play with my friends.

The Dog From Outer Space

A book report by Alec Sperber

I am reading The Dog From Outer Space by Nick Abadzig. I like this story. My favorite character is the dad because he gets to fly the spaceship. They have a cool, yellow spaceship! The boy is Veeb and he has a new dog named Speezy. They live on Planet Groob. They want to fly to Earth. Speezy has to hide in a bag because the dad does not want him to come along. Speezy and Veeb have fun on the Earth, but Speezy gets lost. They find him and fly back to Planet Groob! It would be nice to fly a spaceship like that!

The First Thanksgiving

By Chloe DeVries

I have been reading and learning about the first Thanksgiving. The people called the Pilgrims lived in Plymouth, England in 1620. They sailed across the ocean because the King would not let them worship God they way they wanted to. They risked their lives because there were 102 passengers and not much food on the ship. Some of them had to stay in a place under the deck and they were squished and there was nothing to do. After nine weeks, they found land. The Indians lived there. Many of the Pilgrims died. The Pilgrims started building their houses, but many houses were not done by winter. They did not have much food and it was very cold. Squanto helped the Pilgrims plant corn and learn to hunt. The Pilgrims and the Indians came together to have a feast for the harvest, like we get together with our family on Thanksgiving Day!

Lions

By Jaelehn Smith

I have been reading and learning about lions. Lions are the only cats that live in groups. Some lions live in Africa. Lions are the biggest cat. There are 35 different species of cats. I think lions are cool!

Our Nature Day

By Kaden Hansen

Today we are going on a field trip. I want to see a snake! I walked there and played a game about the food web.

Animals in Winter

By Garrett Couse

We are learning about animals. Deb Karwal came to teach us about animals in winter. I learned that some animals do not hibernate. I heard bird songs. Did you know that some birds migrate? Migration is when animals move to a warmer place to survive. Did you know that a turtle‟s shell is attached to their body? Did you know that a rabbit digs down under the snow and eats the grass? We learned about mammals. Weasels love to eat rabbits all winter. Bobcats need to grow extra fur for the winter. Coyotes play in the snow and chase rabbits. Bears sleep through the winter. Some birds stay and some birds migrate. Robins and meadowlarks migrate to warmer places during the winter. Ground hogs and woodchucks hibernate.

Little House on the Prairie

Reading and Listening Response

by Rhenn Rolenc

This story is good. I wonder what is next? I like Ma because she is smart. They were travelling and there was a cliff and Pa was worried. Ma was too. Jack, the dog, was still missing. Pa was making a fire and ripping the grass up so it would not catch the whole place on fire. The girls were scared really bad about Jack. But, Ma cooked food on the fire. I think Jack is okay. I think he will show up. I wonder what is next? Well, Jack was okay. He was just late because he took longer swimming. Jack did look like a wolf when they saw him. They were all really glad to see him. They finally found the place that they can build their house and it was by a creek. They had a new neighbor and a new house. Ma sprained her ankle and that was really sad. I wonder what is next?

Pet, their horse, had a baby and they named her Bunny. Only Pa was able to go and pet Bunny. When Pa was out on his horse, he was 50 wolves! That really scared me! Pa was safe and the 50 wolves were far away. I really wonder what will happen next?

Jaguars of the Rain Forest

By Oscar Chinchilla

Jaguars are very fast! Sometimes a jaguar can run all night. Jaguars live in the rain forest.

Scarlett’s Pet Problem

A book report by Ashlynn Bentley

I am reading Scarlett Scarlotti and the Pet Problem. Scarlett loves animals. She has a way of being kind to them. Do you know how? Well, just in case you don‟t know, I know the way. All you have to do is just be nice to the animals and that‟s all. Cheetahs are my favorite animal. They run fast – very, very fast! And did you know that they have spots? In this story, there is a duck with a hurt wing and Scarlett carries it home in her scarf? Imagine if you carried a duck home in your scarf and the duck bit you. If a duck bit me, I would wrap the wing up and take the duck back where it was. Scarlett brought many animals home to live in her bedroom. She was hiding them from her mother. She had a duck, a skunk, and some birds, all living in her bedroom!

Scarlett‟s mother is Mumsie. Mumsie is very tidy and she washes everything, including the doorknobs and the lightbulbs! She does not want Scarlett to have her own pet because they are messy. Well, Scarlett‟s mother got scared when she saw all the animals come out of Scarlett‟s bedroom! Mumsie jumped on the light on the ceiling and she told Scarlett to “get that skunk out of here!” I don‟t know how Scarlett does it, but she sure does have a way with animals. Well, in the end of the story, Mumsie lets Scarlett have her own pet dog!

The Ostrich

By Brendon Nenneman

(Shared writing with Mrs. Sterbick)

Have you ever heard of “Big Bird” on Sesame Street? “Big Bird” is a pretend yellow ostrich! I have been reading about some very big birds called ostriches. Ostriches are huge birds! They live in the savannah habitat in Africa. Did you know that one ostrich weighs 200 pounds? Ostriches are tall, too. Sometimes they are 6 feet tall! They like to eat plants and grasses. Yes, this is ONE BIG BIRD! Mr. Walker and Sam

A Book Report by Vanessa Breedlove

I am reading An Old Friend. I love this book! Sam is a boy. He has friends named Riki and Emma. Mr. Walker is an old man who lives on their street. Did you know that Riki, Emma, and Sam can jump rope to 63? One day, Mr. Walker did not step outside to wave to them anymore. They thought that Mr. Walker moved away. But, Mr. Walker hurt his foot. Mr. Walker had a cane and Sam did not know what to do. Sam went to help Mr. Walker. Sam asked Mr. Walker if he could walk his dog, Bill. The next day, Mr. Walker and Sam told each other stories. Sam got books for Mr. Walker to read. This is a very, very, very good book! You should try to get this amazing book! I want to read it again!

The Rain Forest

By Jorden Tisdale

I am reading a book about the rain forest. Many animals live in the rain forest. Jaguars and monkeys live there.

Abe Lincoln

By Chase Anderson

I have been reading a book called Abraham Lincoln by Lola M. Schaefer. Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809. Some people called him “Abe”. He grew up on a farm and he read many books. He read a book about George Washington. George Washington was the first president of the United States. Abe liked what George said in his books. Abe and his family moved to Illinois in 1830. People liked Abe Lincoln because he was fair and honest. Abe became a lawyer in 1836. He married Mary Todd. Then, he went to Congress. Some people owned slaves and Abe wanted all people to be free. Slaves were not free to choose their homes or jobs. So, Abe wanted to end slavery and he became the 16th President in 1861. Then the Civil War began, and the North and the South fought about slavery. President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863. The slaves were free and the war was over. We learned about Abraham Lincoln on President‟s Day. I think he was a good man and a good leader. Laura’s Christmas

By Cierra Philpott

Mrs. Sterbick is reading Little House on the Prairie to us. There is a girl named Laura in the story. Laura was very happy when she got her tin cup, her penny, and her cake for Christmas. She was so happy when she saw her tin cup! Her ma was happy too! I love it that they were happy!

Little House on the Prairie

A Book Response by Jacey King

I like Mary. I like Carrie. I like Laura. I like Ma. I like this chapter because I am happy for them because they get to be with their family at Christmas. So do I!

The Day the Cello Came to School!

By Rebecca Sterbick

Fiddles, Fiddles, Fiddles! We have been reading about Pa playing his fiddle in the book, Little House on the Prairie. Pa cheers up his family by playing their favorite songs on his fiddle. They tap their toes and sing along to Pa‟s fiddle. We have learned that a fiddle is a violin. When the Ingalls family was camped out under the stars on the prairie, Laura and Mary would fall asleep to the sound of their Pa‟s fiddle playing softly. Also, some of my students are reading The Fiddle Maker, by Catherine Harold. This story is about a musical family, which is very similar to my family when I was growing up! My parents loved music and encouraged each of us to play an instrument. I chose the cello, which is a very large violin!

In honor of our stories about fiddles, I brought my cello to school for a wee bit of a concert! I‟m a bit rusty, but my students did not care. I played “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and did not miss even one single note! My students each got a chance to play the cello and they now have experienced playing a stringed instrument. This is a very musical class and some of them play the piano and all of them like to sing! We have decided that fiddles and cellos are a great way to make music!

My Fun School By Joey Lucky

Once there was a fun school. There were a lot of children in this school. The name of the school was IPS. There were funny things that happened at the school. There was a student named Christian and he brought his pet for show and tell. Everybody was staring at the pet. It was an elephant! His name was Peanut because he loved peanuts! He was their favorite visitor and all the students loved him!! One day clowns came to IPS. They were juggling and riding unicycles. The kids thought their school was turning into a circus. More circus workers came and soon the kids could not get any of their work done. Something had to be done about this wild circus!! Christian thought of a way to get all the circus people out. He told Peanut to carry the clowns and workers out of the school. Soon the school was quiet and back to normal until Christian brought a pet alligator to school! The End

The next day at school she told her friend Poley about the camp. Poley said, “I want to go too!” Peewee said, “It‟s tomorrow night and you can come with us.” “Okay,” said Poley. When school was out they started to pack the clothes they were taking. “Don‟t forget your toothbrush,” Poley said to Peewee. The Zcull By Chris Schoneman

There once was a kid who found a skull. The kid brought it home and it turned him to a zombie. Then he ate everyone. Me, Corben, Bobby, David and James weren‟t turned to zombies instead we hid. Corben found troops for us. After that we built a fort around the base while the troops were killing of the zombies that were trying to get us. We had some troops get us food, swords, big chunk of wood, and nails. We had a gate so we would kill more and more zombies so their population would lower instead of rise. Some of our troops did get bit so we killed them immediate. Sometimes we would just have troops turn into zombies for no reason what so ever. We used a lot of wire also. The knives will shoot into zombies which will make a huge pile of dead zombies so when we let more zombies in and they will go for the dead ones so we can kill them. First we open the gate. Let them eat all the zombies that are dead. Then we kill the zombies over and over. Barely zombies would escape the swords. Nothing really got the guys. So we were pretty much safe. Well one time we seen them actually die and turn to zombies. So we know how they are dyeing and that is they aren‟t getting fed enough. So then we fed them too much. So then they turned to zombies and we killed them also then we started feeding them the right amount. It was still a hard battle because of the other zombies. We also had dynamite and some giant sling shooters. So we put things of dynamite in it and lit it and fired. They dynamite would then go off and boom! It would explode millions of zombies. We also had a certain room. So if someone would come they would go in for 14 days to see if they are a zombie. We did put food and water in so it they are zombies the food and water won‟t be touched at all. So since we got the dynamite we haven‟t used the door at all. Instead we just slingshot stuff into the zombies.

The Talking Horse and the Cheerleader By Haley Zeigler

Once upon a time there was a talking horse in New York City and there was a cheerleader. The cheerleader‟s name was Jessica. She got her horse for her 8th birthday. One day she went outside to take care of her horse and she dropped her diamond ring in a rat hole. She said, “Where am I going to get a ring like that?” Then someone said, “I can get you one.” She said, “Who said that?” and the only people that were there was the horse and Jessica. She said I just might be hearing stuff. Then someone said, “Well, do you want a new ring?” She said, “Who said that? I am just hearing things! I need to get my job done and go lay down and take a nap!” She woke up and she found a ring on the table. She said, “Who is this from?” It didn‟t say who it is from. She went out to feed her horse again and her horse was gone. She woke up and found him the next day. The horse wasn‟t acting right so Jessica called the vet. They said they will come as fast as they can. Before the vet came, the horse talked. She knew that it was her because her lips were moving when something said that. The vet said that she didn‟t feel good, and she will be up by tomorrow. The next day the horse was up running around. She went out to feed her. The horse said, “Do you like the ring?” The girl said, “Yes!” then she went in and called the press and they came immediately. She led them out to her horse. She told her horse to speak, and the horse said, “Hi!” They said, „You and your horse will be taking a plane to Hollywood, but the horse is going to have to ride in a truck.” She said, “OK, but the horse must be brushed and be given food and water every day.” It took Jessica and her horse three days to pack their stuff up. A limo came and picked Jessica up and drove her to the airport. The person who drove the limo switched cars and went back and picked up the horse. On the way to Hollywood, Jessica thought what she was going to name her. The next day she found a name for her. She is going to name her “Babygirl”. Three days later they were in Hollywood. They lived in a mansion. It had a stable in the back. They went on the red carpet that year. Jessica went to Paris. She had a babysitter for the horse, she went for three days and came back because her vacation was over. When she got home she went out and said, “Hi.” She went inside and said, “Oh, now I forgot about cheerleading! I better call the leader and tell her I can‟t come to Cheerleading because I‟m in Hollywood because my horse can talk!” The leader said, “Oh, but that‟s ok. I will tell the other cheerleaders the news. Is that all right?” She said, “Yes.” The press called and said her and the horse have a tour in Las Vegas. They got back a week later. Jessica had a tour after they got back. She had a babysitter for her horse. Her horse wasn‟t feeling well. She started heading home. She was back the next day, she called the vet and they said they will be there as fast as they could. Then Natalee said, “I am not feeling well.” Jessica said, “I know they are coming as fast as they can.” Then they arrived. They said Natalee might not make it. The next morning Jessica woke and went out and the horse was still alive. She fed him and brushed him and laid down with him for a nap and they woke up and they were up for an hour and the horse said, “Goodbye.” Jessica said, “What do you mean goodbye?” Natalee said, “Goodbye,” and then she died. Jessica cried. She buried the horse in her back yard.

He grabbed onto her wrist as she reached for the blade. He pulled out his pen and started drawing intricate lines on her arm. She watched as the pen moved lightly over her skin. When he finally pulled his hand away, she looked and saw a beautiful butterfly drawn on her arm.

She looked at him questioningly, so he explained, “It‟s the butterfly project. You draw a butterfly on your arm whenever you feel like cutting, then if you do cut, the butterfly dies.”

She nodded and smiled as he pulled her into a hug.

This idea is based on a real project idea for students who have a history of cutting themselves. For more information, go to www.butterflyproject.com.

Black Wish Kaytelen Raborn

I wish I could see the storm clouds that cast your shadow, I wish I could protect you from the outside world, I wish I could take your pain and make it my own. to walk in your shoes and give you peace. I wish for your beautiful smile to return and never leave, I wish I could be the friend who helped you though the storm, and make the sun shine once more. I wish I could turn back time and stop it before it happened I wish I wish and wish, but it is nothing but a black wish a hopeless wish. you and you alone can make it happen not I your wishful friend. For my heart has blacken I wish I could be your angel your savior, the one who saves you from the dark, But I am your black angel I drag you down I make the storm, the pain, And take your smile. This is my black wish my selfish, hopeless wish, to save you my dear friend, But how can I a black angel save you if I cannot save myself from this cold black wish.

Rewind the Time By Stephanie Parris

They told us to drink our milk and not to jump on the bed. Be nice to others and to watch what we said. We spent all day just playing pretend. Grown up women and grown up men.

And now here we are We have jobs and drive a car. Paying taxes and paying the bills, Cleaning up our messes and spills.

Somebody please Rewind the time.

I‟d give anything to play pretend, To be a little kid again. Where everything was fixed with a Bandaid And our sandwiches were made homemade. Where there was no reason to be afraid Cause your flashlight made you feel brave.

And now here we are We have jobs and drive a car. Paying taxes and paying the bills, Cleaning up our messes and spills.

Somebody please Rewind the time.

Every once in awhile I pretend to be a child. Before I had to feel the weight of the world. Back when I was still a little girl

My Letter to the World By Stephanie Parris

Here‟s my letter to the world Do you see all the violence? In my letter to the world I ask why you sit there in silence. Because sitting there isn‟t any use, Saying nothing won‟t stop the abuse.

Dear World, when did you get so fake? You‟re so plastic, one drop and you‟ll break. Dear World, why don‟t‟ you ever ask Why everyone around you is wearing a mask? World, am I an individual, do you recognize my face, Or do I fall into step with the rest of the human race?

Dear World, can you feel the fear? How we‟re too scared to leave here And now we‟re shattering the mirror Society has been caught in the act The reflection shows a rigid crack. We‟re scared of change, of something new Living in fear, hiding from you.

In my letter to the world I want to address the hate. I want to find the love before it‟s too late. Dear World, why do we wrongly judge? Dear World, why do you hold this grudge? Why do we put up such impossible walls And watch as our fellow man falls? Who are we to make these calls?

My letter to the world, I‟ll scream I‟ll make this reality not just a dream Because this life is faltering, never what it may seem FOLLOW YOUR HEART Don‟t just play the part Promise you‟ll never leave And I‟ll promise to believe In my letter to the world
