Cheryl Tucker P.F. Flyers (*and other teams) The first R to R Relay was an experiment, an adventure trip as some of the legs that first year were off road trails and most every leg had at least some trail or gravel sec- tions and amenities (read porta potties) were primitive or nonexistent. Despite, (or because of) the challenging course conditions, it really was fun. The Park Forest Running and Pancake Club found a road trip for a relay to be an irre- sistible attraction and signed up multiple teams. Cheryl Tucker, A member of PFRPC and a regular age group winner at local races, was recruited that first year for one of the PFERPC teams for a “fun run” excursion. Cheryl, whether she knew it then or not, was hooked. She returned with PFRPC for more R to R Relays. She completed a differ- ent leg each year, becoming one of the first to complete the entire circuit. But one cir- cuit has not been enough and Cheryl continues to run R to R each year. In 2005, she will run leg #8 on Fritterrazz the Smatterriff team and become the first person to have run every leg of the relay twice.
