LES BONS CLIENTS & ARTE FRANCE Present a Film by Bruno LES BONS CLIENTS & ARTE FRANCE present A film by Bruno Aveillan © photographs by Bruno Aveillan THE PITCH RODIN DIVINO # INFERNO | 2 a 60-min documentary film directed by Bruno Aveillan written with Stephen Levy-Kuentz & Zoé Balthus produced by Les Bons Clients an ambitious and singular project, for delivery in January 2017 on the occasion of Auguste Rodin’s death centenary The portrait of one artist by another. World-renowned visual artist, photographer and director Bruno Aveillan, known for his commercial work for some of the world’s foremost international brands, turns his camera to the creative process of sculptor Auguste Rodin. Divino # Inferno is the story of one of the art world’s great masterpieces, a legendary sculpture that holds the key to the very personal genius of its creator, the immense Auguste Rodin, who moved endlessly back and forth between Heaven and Hell. The piece is called The Gates of Hell. No sculptor since Michelangelo had achieved anything of such astounding beauty. Shrouded in a veil of smoky mystery, The Gates of Hell was Rodin’s pet project for more than thirty years, although he never lived to see it completed. Simultaneously, a manifesto and a laboratory for all his masterpieces, it’s held onto its air of mystery over the years. All of the artist’s inspirations and techniques are expressed within it — encompassing the entire spectrum of the human condition, his own personal life, and all the women he ever loved. | 2 | 3 DIRECTOR’S NOTE I’m fascinated by the duality of this great master. • « Eternels », a Short Film on Puy Du Fou by Bruno Aveillan
PRESS RELEASE 24 April 2019 « ETERNELS », A SHORT FILM ON PUY DU FOU BY BRUNO AVEILLAN The most beautiful park in the world finally has a spectacular and moving promotional film. Puy du Fou, voted the “best park in the world”, unveiled its short promotional film “Eternels” on April 21 at 20:40 on TF1. The film was directed by the award-winning film-maker Bruno Aveillan and marketed by Les Gros Mots. The film was entirely filmed in the heart of Puy du Fou’s authentic, scenic park and includes performances from the park’s stuntmen, horse riders and artists. This epic, which takes us on a journey through the centuries, draws an original parallel to visitors’ experiences of Puy du Fou, taking us from one era to another through breathtaking spectacles. Puy du Fou takes the audience on a journey with Louis, a so-called ‘Poilu’ from the First World War, abandoned on the battlefield in the hellhole at Verdun. The young soldier is looking at a photo of his fiancé, who seems to be calling for his help. He then embarks on an odyssey through the centuries to find her. Known worldwide for his exceptional works such as “L’Odysée” for Cartier or ‘La Légende de Shalimar” for Guerlain, Bruno Aveillan delivers a brand new visual creation for the best park in the world, reinforcing the prestige of the Puy du Fou brand; the film provides a real aesthetic shock, breaking with the norms of the universe of leisure and parks. The film’s original soundtrack, written by Nathan Stornetta, a gifted student of the great composer Hans Zimmer and performed by the Prague Symphonic Ensemble, underscores the poignant narrative of Louis as he voyages across the ages searching for his loved one with depth and emotion.
