In recent years the property has been improved even further and is now beautifully presented with a very high standard of appointment throughout. With many of the rooms having a south-facing aspect over the mature gardens, the accommodation is light and airy, well laid out and flexible. The original barn structure dates back to the 18th Century and there are many attractive features incorporating traditional cast iron radiators to the ground floor of the main barn, exposed structural oak beams and trusses and limed timber flooring. This spacious family home has abundant light throughout the expansive living and entertaining space due to the high vaulted ceilings in some areas. The landscaping draws one to the welcoming reception hall, with cloakroom, leading to two separate areas: The main three storey building (originally the storage barn) comprises an open plan ground floor providing three living and entertaining areas with an Inglenook fireplace and exposed stone walls. There are double doors to the front and rear providing access to the gardens and a side door accessing a large patio dining area. At the centre is a formal ash staircase leading to a three sided vaulted gallery on the first floor. There is also a separate study with a door leading on to a small patio. The first floor comprises a principal suite with dressing room featuring a full height window overlooking the south facing gardens and paddock. There are two additional bedrooms, one en suite and a family bathroom. The gallery provides access to the third floor bedroom via a bespoke open staircase. There are two further en-suite bedrooms, one of which is currently used as a family/TV room and has a useful mezzanine floor. The single storey building, originally the dairy and stock pens includes a beautifully presented kitchen/dining/family room which is 35 feet in length incorporating a 4 oven AGA, a separate multi-function electric oven and induction hob. The kitchen is the core of the property and offers great family living space. There is a rear entrance hall and utility/boiler room (the AGA and boiler are both oil fired).
