Client/Server Support: LANDP provides client/server based cooperative processing environment that complements the underlying operating systems and interacts with many other products. It enables the sharing of access to these products and facilities such as printers, databases, and communications. It provides a widely used high-level API that insulates applications from the network topology and the . In addition to interacting with many other workstation products, LANDP also interacts with host programs such as NetView for alert processing, NetView/DM for file distribution, and CICS, and IMS for transaction processing.
