HOWDY’S MARKET - EVENING FRANK and JIMMY stand by the Deli case. JIMMY You should come over tonight. Sabrina is going to Shelley’s for a girl’s night. FRANK Sorry, Dude. Can’t tonight. I’m busy. JIMMY What do you have “hot date”? FRANK Nah, Man. I’m helping my Uncle out with something. JIMMY Okay, some other time then. Jimmy and Frank close up the store. CUT TO: INT. SHELLEY’S APARTMENT - BEDROOM - NIGHT SHELLEY sits in front of her computer wearing a horse mask. On the screen, a man in a baby face mask. SHELLEY I can’t wait till tomorrow. BABY FACE I hope you not an ugo. Shelley laughs. The doorbell RINGS. 2 SHELLEY I have to go. I’ll see you tomorrow. BABY FACE Bye. Shelley leaves the room and makes her way to the door. INT. SHELLEY’S APARTMENT - LIVING ROOM - MOMENTS LATER Shelley answers the door. SABRINA comes in. SHELLEY I’m glad you could come over. I have big news. SABRINA What’s the big news? SHELLEY I’m finally going to meet Baby Face. SABRINA The weird guy that you have been talking to online. SHELLEY Yeah. We are going to meet tomorrow night. Sabrina sits on the couch. Shelley goes to the kitchen and brings back Marguerites. She hands one to Sabrina and sits on the chair beside the couch. SABRINA Do you know his real name? SHELLEY No but we have been talking for so long that I don’t need to know his name. We have a real connection. SABRINA I just don’t want to see you get hurt. SHELLEY Don’t worry, Sabrina. I’ll be fine. CUT TO: 3 EXT. HOWDY’S MARKET- NIGHT Shelley sits on a bench outside of the store wearing her horse mask. Baby face approaches her. Shelley stands up. BABY FACE Well aren’t you a fancy stud. SHELLEY You’re so sweet. BABY FACE How bout you let me see what’s under that mask? SHELLEY Let’s do it at the same time. Shelley and Frank remove their masks. BABY FACE Shelley? SHELLEY Frank? INT. CHANCE RESIDENCE- LIVING ROOM - MORNING Sabrina, Jimmy, and HOPE sit with VIRGINIA and BURT. SABRINA Shelley is finally meeting that guy she has been talking to online. VIRGINIA Good for her. She was on her way to being one of those crazy cat ladies. JIMMY What is the guy’s name? SABRINA She doesn’t know his name. The wear mask when they are talking to each other. BURT Mask? I’ll never understand the interweb. Sabrina’s phone RINGS. 4 SABRINA Hey Shelley... Okay.... What time?.... Okay, I’ll see you there... Bye. JIMMY How was her date? SABRINA She didn’t say but she wants us to come over for dinner tonight. EXT. SHELLEY’S APARTMENT - EVENING Sabrina, Jimmy, and Hope RING the doorbell. Shelley answers and lets them in. INT. SHELLEY’S APARTMENT - LIVING ROOM - CONTINUOUS Sabrina, Jimmy, Shelley, and Hope all take a seat in the living room. SABRINA How did it go last night? SHELLEY Great. I want you guys to meet him. SABRINA That’s great. We’d love to me him. SHELLEY Good. SHELLEY (CONT’D) (Towards the hallway) Sweetie. They’re here. Sabrina and Jimmy turn around. SABRINA Frank? JIMMY Hey man. So your Baby face? FRANK Yep, but this face is cuter than a baby’s. Sabrina rolls her eyes. JIMMY I’m glad that you guys found each other. 5 SABRINA How serious is this? SHELLEY We’re going to take it slow but we know each other so well. Who knows? Shelley’s goes to the kitchen and grabs a plate of appetizers. She sits them on the coffee table. Jimmy reaches over and grabs some. Hope grabs one too. SHELLEY (CONT’D) Dinner will be done in a little bit. FRANK Jimmy, you want to go outside so I can show you my new sweet moves. JIMMY Sure. Jimmy and Hope follow Frank outside. SABRINA (Turns to Shelley) So why didn’t you call it off when you found out it was Frank? SHELLEY He’s sweet. SABRINA Are we talking about the same Frank? The Frank that has a model of Natesville in his house. SHELLEY Sabrina, I know a different side to him. The oven DINGS. SHELLEY (CONT’D) Dinner’s done. Shelley makes her way to the kitchen. CUT TO: INT. JIMMY AND SABRINA’S CAR - NIGHT Sabrina sits in the passenger seat, while Jimmy drives. Hope sits in her car seat in the back. 6 SABRINA Can you believe she is with Frank? JIMMY I think it’s great now we can hang out with a couple that we actually like. SABRINA Yeah, but don’t you think Shelley should be with someone.....more sophisticated. JIMMY You know that Frank is a nice guy. I know he can be a little dim-witted sometimes but he has a big heart. SABRINA I think I should find someone more her type. JIMMY What type might that be? SABRINA Someone more intellectual and a little better looking. JIMMY Sabrina, you need to stay out of their business. If they are happy, that’s all that matters. Now just leave them alone. SABRINA If you not going to help me. I will find someone who will. INT. CHANCE RESIDENCE - LIVING ROOM - DAY Virginia, Hope, and Burt sit on the couch. Sabrina sits in a chair near the couch and MAW MAW sits in her chair beside the couch. SABRINA So the mystery guy Shelley has been talking to is Frank. VIRGINIA No way. And she didn’t change her mind once she realized who it was. SABRINA No, apparently he is sweet. 7 VIRGINIA Are we talking about he same guy that married Jimmy? SABRINA Yep. Virginia, that’s why I need your help. MAW MAW If that poor girl would just get her dead tooth fixed she could get herself a respectable man. SABRINA She did get that tooth fixed. Hope walks up to Maw Maw. MAW MAW (To Hope) Virginia, look how big your getting. Maw Maw takes Hope’s hand and walks to the kitchen. BURT I’ll handle that. Burt leaves the room. SABRINA Who can we set Shelley up with? VIRGINIA How about Tyler? SABRINA No, he’s with Donna now. How about Andrew? VIRGINIA No one has seen him in awhile. We did get a new neighbor. Virginia walks over to the window. EXT. HENRY’S YARD - DAY HENRY, 30, muscular, dark hair, and pale blue eyes mows his lawn shirtless. INT. CHANCE RESIDENCE - CONTINUOUS VIRGINIA Look, there he is now. 8 Sabrina looks out the window. SABRINA (Looking at Henry through the window) He would be perfect for her. VIRGINIA We need to think of a plan so we can go over there and not look like stalkers. Henry sees them staring at them and waves. Sabrina and Virginia duck under the window. SABRINA Too late. They hear a KNOCK at the door. FADE OUT. END OF ACT ONE.
