Government Order No: 324-F of 2018 Dated: 25.07.2018. Whereas, Finance Department vide Government Order No 162-FD of 2018 dated 28.03.2018, ordered that all the Departments shall compulsorily tender all works/ procurements costing more than ~1.00 lakh (one lakh only) th roug h e-tenderi ng. Whereas, representations have been received in Finance Department, that areas of Gurez, Karnah, Nobra (Leh) and Zanskar (Kargil) remain cut off from the valley for a period of six months due to heavy snow fall and due to poor network facility in these areas contractors are facing difficulties in uploading tender documents. Whereas, the representations have been considered in Finance Department and the demand for exemption from e• tendering upto the limit of ~10.00 lacs in Gurez, Karnah, Nobra (Leh) and Zanskar (Kargil) has been felt genuine and justified. Now, therefore, it is hereby ordered that the works/procurements costing upto ~10.00 lakhs in the areas of Gurez, Karnah, Nobra (Leh) and Zanskar (Kargil) are exempted from e-tendering. However the works/ procurements of cost in excess of ~10.00 Lakhs shall compulsorily be e-tendered This would remain in force till ~ -------- .. __ ._-_. --- such time the ceiling is reviewed by the Finance Department. However, the exemption shall be subject to certification of non-availability of internet facility in the concerned area by respective District Development Commissioner. The district was divided into low-lying Revision Received 23 May 2017 Accepted 6 July 2017 (Sonawari), medium altitude (Bandipora) and High altitude (Gurez) regions. Multi-stage ----------------------------------------------- random sampling was done in which 20% villages were selected from each region in the Key words: Sheep, Bandipora, socio-economic, first stage through proportionate random sampling and 20 respondents from each selected profile village in second stage through simple random sampling. A total of 480 respondents ---------------------------------------------- (Sonawari=200, Bandipora=160, Gurez=120) from 24 villages were considered for the survey. It was observed that majority of the sheep rearers (59.79%) were illiterate with proportion of such respondents being significantly higher (p<0.05) in Gurez (68.33%) than Sonawari (54.0%) region. Majority (65.8%) of sheep rearers in the district were having medium size families (5-8 members) with an average family size of 6.60±0.129 with majority (86.7%) of the families being nuclear type.

    The Rock Art of Upper Tibet and Ladakh Inner Asian cultural adaptation, regional differentiation and the ‘Western Tibetan Plateau Style’ Laurianne Bruneau & John Vincent Bellezza I. An introduction to the rock art of Upper Tibet and Ladakh his paper examines common thematic and esthetic features discernable in the rock art of the western portion of the T Tibetan plateau.1 This rock art is international in scope; it includes Ladakh (La-dwags, under Indian jurisdiction), Tö (Stod) and the Changthang (Byang-thang, under Chinese administration) hereinafter called Upper Tibet. This highland rock art tradition extends between 77° and 88° east longitude, north of the Himalayan range and south of the Kunlun and Karakorum mountains. [Fig.I.1] This work sets out the relationship of this art to other regions of Inner Asia and defines what we call the ‘Western Tibetan Plateau Style’. The primary materials for this paper are petroglyphs (rock carvings) and pictographs (rock paintings). They comprise one of the most prolific archaeological resources on the Western Tibetan Plateau. Notification No. 51 – PSC (DR-S) of 2018 Dated: 30.01.2018 Whereas, the Health & Medical Education Department referred 371 posts (OM:213, RBA:74, SC:29, ST:37, ALC:11 & SLC:07) of Medical Officer to the Public Service Commission for being filled up from amongst the suitable candidates; and Whereas, the Commission notified these posts vide Notification No. 01-PSC (DR-P) of 2017 dated 27.03.2017; and Whereas, in response to the above notification, 2883 applications were received; and Whereas, the written test of the candidates for selection was conducted on 26.06.2016 in which 2452 candidates appeared. The result of the written test was declared vide Notification No. PSC/Exam/2017/79 dated: 14.12.2017 in pursuance of Rule 32(a) of the J&K Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examinations) Rules, 2005 and Rule 40 of the J&K Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure) Rules, 1980 as amended from time to time and 1158 candidates were declared to have qualified the written test and called for interview; and Whereas, 01 more candidate was allowed to participate in the interview on the directions of the Hon’ble High Court in SWP No. 2834/2017, MP No.01/2017 titled Nidhi Priya Vs State of J&K & Ors. vide its order dated:30.12.2017.Her result has not been declared as per Court Orders.
