Práce je rozdělena do pěti částí. V první části jsou uvedeny soudobé automobilové soutěže a federace FIA. Druhá část je zaměřená na specifikaci vozů WRC. Třetí část seznamuje se způsobem organizace šampionátu WRC. Jsou představeny posádky se svými týmy, jejich výsledky v šampionátu a v poháru konstruktérů. Největší pozornost je věnována čtvrté a páté části, které jsou zaměřeny na soudobou techniku používanou ve WRC a vývojové trendy v této oblasti. Jsou zde uvedeny způsoby virtuálního navrhování, počítačové simulace a testování.V závěru práce jsou zmíněny příklady vývoje vozů WRC a řešení převzaté na sériové vozy z techniky WRC. Klíčová slova: Rallye, FIA, WRC, karoserie, podvozek, tlumič, motor, převodovka, diferenciál, brzda, pneumatika, testování, rekuperace ABSTRACT The content of the bachelor thesis is an overview of the current condition of technics used in the car racing competitions focused on the WRC serial. The thesis is diveded into five parts. The first part introduces the contemporary car competitions and FIA federation. The second part is focused on specification of the WRC cars. The third part familiarizes with the organization process of the WRC championship. There are introduced crews with their teams and their results in the constructor cup.

    MEDIA INFORMATION 2019 FIA World Rally Championship Round 8/14: Rally Italia Sardegna The MICHELIN LTX Force H4 and MICHELIN LTX Force M6 combine to deliver at demanding Rally Italia Sardegna This week’s visit to northern Sardinia for Round 8 of the 2019 FIA World Rally Championship produced a hot, dusty challenge for the cars and crews who had to contend with a cocktail of narrow, rock-lined dirt roads and sandier tracks which revealed a particularly hard-wearing base after the first passes. Despite the challenging terrain, Michelin’s WRC partners were again able to rely on their MICHELIN LTX Force tyres which were available this week in a choice two of the range’s three compounds, namely the H4 (hard) and M6 (medium) versions. The hot and occasionally humid weather saw the teams opt for sometimes contrasting tyre strategies, influenced notably by their cars’ respective positions in the running order in Sardinia where the phenomenon of ‘road sweeping’ can play a big role. On Day 1, for example, Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia – who were first on the road in their Citroën C3 WRC – went for three hard and two medium Michelins, while Thierry Neuville and Nicolas Gilsoul (Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC) chose six MICHELIN LTX Force M6s. “Tyre strategies had a big influence on the different performances we saw in Sardinia,” notes Arnaud Rémy, the manager of Michelin’s rally programmes. “Often, the drivers chose their compounds and how many spares they wanted to carry just moments before leaving service. Although the regulations specify that there must always be at least one spare in the car, many of them took two, and occasionally of the same compound.

    Volkswagens segerrad bröts i Rally Argentina Sébastien Ogier och Julien Ingrassia utökade sin ledning i FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) med en andraplats i Rally Argentina. I en dramatisk final förlorade trefaldiga världsmästarna till Hayden Paddon/John Kennard (NZ/NZ, Hyundai), som tog sin första seger i World Rally Championship. Andreas Mikkelsen/Anders Jæger (N/N), som liksom Ogier/Ingrassia kör en Polo R WRC, kom på tredje plats. Volkswagens segersvit med tolv raka segrar tog slut i Argentina efter att teamet varit obesegrade i 355 dagar. Ogier/Ingrassia och Mikkelsen/Jæger tog den 73:e och 74:e pallplatsen för Polo R WRC i bilens 43:e rally sedan tävlingsdebuten 2013. Polo R WRC vann elva av de 18 specialsträckorna i Argentina. Ett extremt rally Rally Argentina betraktas som ett av de tuffaste i WRC-kalendern – och 2016 års rally förstärkte det ryktet. Vägbanan var mycket grov med ett underlag som på vissa ställen var stenigt och på andra sandigt. Samtidigt innehöll delsträckorna både smala, vindlande sektioner och snabba, mer följsamma partier. När de nådde avslutande Power Stage hade de reducerat sitt underläge från 29,8 sekunder till 2,6 sekunder.

Before I underline the team’s hopes and expectations for this event, I wish to acknowledge all the hard work that’s gone into putting on this rally in such a short amount of time. The efforts of AKK Sports and all the volunteers, particularly in the context of COVID-19, has really impressed me so a big thank you to them. It’s fair to say we showed our limits on Rallye Monte-Carlo and found ourselves licking our wounds and trying to get ahead. Unfortunately, it didn’t work there and after making some changes to our approach we start the second round of the season hoping it will be much better than the first. Having wished a fond farewell to Carlos del Barrio after Monte as he prepared for the next chapter of his career, we are pleased to welcome back Craig and Paul for the start of their half-season campaign in a Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC. We know very well their ability and determination as they try to make a strong start to their season. As well as our regular World Rally Car drivers, we are giving a big chance to a really promising youngster, Oliver Solberg.

Steady rainfalls turned the road conditions of the first special stage on Oulton Park race track into something, which most of the drivers explained as “driving on ice”. ŠKODA FABIA R5 evo crew Kalle Rovanperä/Jonne Halttunen set the third quickest time among the R5 competitors and were quickest in the WRC 2 Pro category, while teammates Jan Kopecký and co-driver Jan Hloušek opted for a cautious approach.
